I've been needing to get more organized... Love the idea of a rating system.

I've got an issue that's bugging me - I suffer from major FOMO.
I scan and scan for stocks and find 10-20 decent ones, all with decent eps/sales etc.
I end up buying token amounts of 12-16 stocks as they break out & go through buy points
My goal is to condense myself into only 4-6 names. Do I just go for the ones that break out first? Or wait for the ones that have the best criteria on the screens?

I like to own 10 stocks (10% positions in each) when I’m fully invested because it’s concentrated enough so that if you have a big winner (a ten bagger for example) it will still have a big impact on your overall portfolio but if you have a loser (a surprise 20% gap down for instance) it won’t kill you. Focus on the leading stocks in the leading groups if you want to concentrate (don’t chase after everything). And always remember patience and discipline is what makes money in the market.

ive had the same problem before as well, for me i looked for signs of heavier buying within the bases. u can even look at the hourly or 15 min charts to deep dive and look at volume closely. and definitely compare the price action to the market indexes it correlates to. for instance during a market pullback if the stock ur looking at holds its own and gives up no ground, thats a great sign that it will show more strenght than the market wen it moves to the upside

I got the same issue. I too end up buying many stocks, then it becomes difficult to analyze/manage the holding itself.

when ur pilot positions show follow-through (up 15-20% in a week frm your purchase) start taking bigger positions (12-15% of ur equity)

Buy ones that break out first
No screener has the best criteria
Past performances are not a guarantee of future performance
Just buy what's breaking out in sequence, even Mark doesn't use a filter
