It helps to know that when my corpse is engulfed in flames sitting in the drivers seat, my Mac Book Pro is doing just fine.

Why not make the truck out of the same material as the burn box ?

It’s an insulated box if I had to guess. If you wanted to insulate a car the same way they would be for one incredibly heavy, and also incredibly expensive. Size of vehicles would also increase by a substantial margin if I had to guess to make space for all the insulting needed.
Bottom line making something with that type of tech isn’t feasible for a public product. They do that for some military vehicles because the extreme cost isn’t a problem, but for civilian usage it’s not practical in anyway.
If you can come up with a way to insulate a car to that degree and still keep it a reasonable size, weight, and price then by all means do it. You will become richer than Elon Musk.

So obviously the heat is still dissipated with the tailgate open. Cool air is being drawn in through the natural burn process.. I would.gaurantee if that gate had of been closed, there would have been more damage inside that box. I call B.S. on this product. 100 %

That's exactly why we need to audit law enforcement. To create new case law to overwhelm preexisting.

Why is the back hatch open? Not a real valid test? The back will be closed 99% of the time?

Fair enough! Yeah, we did it many years ago with an old Chevy with the back closed. See the retro video here: czcams.com/video/dm0g8I2c4gM/video.html This time around we wanted to get a visual of how it handled the heat.

I don't care about the rolling rocket boat I care for the occupant and the crash test bares nothing to the impact of the loss to all when we aren't born with weapon in hand. But blamed for the inability to exceed our own body and it's a shame to recall that I believed in perfection having limitations and relying on carriage that's known for failure.! There's never been a driver for (seated transmission) has been a passenger carrier for transport. A judge labeled me as a transient. We all may as well be. Two classmates were in the real situation and one of them was in the car and alive while it was ablaze and the other a( firefighter first responder) who was unable to touch the Steel8 or get near for the intense heat! This inoperable vehicle was donated to a local fire department as part of a training session. It was a very valuable experience for all involved.

@@TruckVault_USA Close the back hatch next time? That thing is at the very edge of the fire?
