dude people are actually slow. people choose percival to just rush in and die when half his kit relies on buffs you have to constantly be applying

Taking the reset back to neutral is bruuuuutal though. Turning hits into stocks is less rewarding than offense, and you need to know when to do each. Plus his neutral state isn't his best feature anymore, his corner pressure helps him a lot, and if you choose stocks every time, you'll never achieve the win condition. In a game with 66L and 50 meter "neutral skip" type moves, neutral resets are a real downside. not to mention his awkward DP hitbox, high risk 5H, and slow fireball, make playing ground based neutral require a lot of precision.

@@acydrayn73Restock combos help but his reward on hit for doing those routes and still getting oki is shockingly low unless you get a safe carpet setup. 236U is really really good but currently everything else feels underwhelming. I often find myself doing more damage with flamemat / chip / throws than actually hitting the opponent.
His buffers are also bad, he needs stocks to function and do what Siegfried can do right out of the gate but a little worse.
His corner pressure is strong though.
@@Vsolid I agree, carpet helps a lot, but even it feels underwhelming in the face of things like nier, Sieg, or Seox. Guard cancel also makes carpet a lot worse, since it just goes away.
