Cape on! The 2D Star Wars cartoon was absolutely amazing. I would even argue for helmet on, as it makes sense for Jedi generals to use the built in HUD to better communicate with their troops.

This has to be my most anticipated figure release of all time. I waited just shy of 4 years since it was originally shown in July of 2020 at sideshow con. I’m so incredibly happy I can now own this figure. To me, despite the few flaws it has, I’m still exceptionally happy with how it turned out. General Kenobi will soon be leading my Clone Wars display. And I have to say cape on brother 😎🤙

According to Sideshow’s website, the trigger finger hand is actually a “macrobinocular holding hand” although it definitely would function as a trigger hand lol.

I'd have him cape on and helmet on, this is the coolest Obi Wan if you ask me, and I love the idea of posing him with clone troopers all around in a "final stand" sort of thing
The trigger finger hand is perfect for it, I'd have him with a blaster and lightsaber at the same time, such a cool figure, I'll have to get it

Loved the review, gives me a few ideas for posing mine. He should be arriving today. I'm in the cape and Helmet off camp. No way do you hide that headsculpt and while some jedi look good with a cape. Obi-Wan Kenobi doesn't, at least in my opinion.

What’s up with that new head sculpt clip mechanism? We saw that with Padmé too and I felt like I was gonna break it trying to put the head back on? Personally I don’t like it.

Hi Justin, got this one, but warning to people light up lightsaber tip broke when I put in the hand, very delicate, managed to glue, but these things are very delicate, be careful! Love this figure, looks great, Mace on the way! Great review!

There's got to be a way to attach the USB battery to the croch grabber. That way you don't weigh down the belt or damage it.

my biggest problem with this figure is it has a stormtrooper undersuit, with the armor i can just swap it with clone armor but that undersuit is so hard to fix

It’s not compatible with them, it’s got a bespoke clear neck clip to attach to the body. I showed the clip on his neck in the video

Could you do a series called the “Test of Time”, where you look at figures that have degraded over time, especially pleather. You show footage of when you got it, or photos, compared to now. That would be interesting

So, they have realistic style clone armor for the shins and knee armor. But animated style forearm, elbow and bicep armor. Obviously consistency isnt a Hot Toys priority.
I mean this look has never existed in live action so they made it up as they went I guess
@@JustinsCollection thats true, I just wish they made the clone armor look like the "realistic" armor from the movies instead of the 3D animated versions. They did it with his legs just not the arms. Sorry im a bit of a costume/armor snob😅

About the USB-C cable issue: I know it's annoying that HT is putting none in the box. But I'd like to take another view on it: which one? an C to C or an C to A cable? Sure, at least the should give us one of those, but I'm pretty sure: no matter what they would decide for shitstorm would be big anyway 😂 personally I would like to have a C to C cable.

The sculpt doesnt really sit right with me, ik the upper lip is supposed to be a bit hidden but the shadow makes it seem like his mouth is open? That angle you displayed him at 11:30 looked freakin great though, so hes definitely an angles sorta guy

The fact that Hot Toys refuses to go back and slightly update figures with new tech or tooling. It’s like they’re just banking on selling another variant when the time is right. I despise when companies pump out product just to pump it out, even when the figure is fairly good such as General Kenobi. I do agree with you on the robes being far too clean especially compared to his armor.

it's absurd that Hot Toys can't manage to install usb charged batteries inside of the figures, like the BUDGET BRAND ZD Toys does with its 20 dollar figures... The USB cable system is actually worst than the button cell batteries

I just contacted hot toys in Hong Kong. And I talked to them about getting rid of the USB Ports On the back of the hot toys Collectibles for example Darth Vader DX28 who has The USB On his belt that you can Take on and off but to light up the light saber you have to plug in a portable charger or the wall if you have many collectables and the wires get tangled and it's a pain my Idea was that if Hot toys can get rid of the wires and make a rechargeable lightsaber to fit in Darth Vader and Other Star wars Characters hands so if the lightsaber dies you can charge it with a USB port but have no wires and put it back in your Characters hand.just like a big light saber works that you can battle with your friends when it dies you plug it in a charge it and when it's done unplug it and keep battling.
Unfortunately they don't listen to us fans

immediately no. this is my fav look for obi wan and this feels extremely off, not sure if it's the dirty armor with clean clothes, the weird sculpt, chunky fingers, or what, but it just feels way off, haven't felt that way with Hot Toys star wars in a long time, this used to happen at the very begginning only.
