Can you imagine buying a RS5 and someone pulls up in a A5 not even S5 a A5 and they look the same lmao
I'm surprised the particular spec in this video looks so similar to the RS5! Here in Canada, you can't even spec an S5 to look like the RS5, let alone an A5, (straight out the dealership I mean, I'm sure you can with aftermarket parts). Like the blacked-out badging, red brake callipers, carbon fibre accents, and so on all are unavailable on the A5... and only some of these are options even on the A5! The main thing is the interior though, the A5s here have a radically different interior when compared to the S5 and RS5 (which have the same interiors in my country). Oh well, I guess Europe is just lucky!

Once u move up to the S5 or RS5, it's for performance and not looks. Not need to feel u have to one-up those in the A5 ... which is a solid car on its own right
But nobody is driving an RS5

They forgot to make space for the infotainment screen so they just stuck one in the center the last minute. What happened to the old design.
Great to see a standard entry looking like the RS, again I think Audi nailed it by the looks, just one thing I’m not a fan off is the new style exhausts Audi are going with....😉
Previous ones on the A5 was fake if I remember correctly so this is better I think.
@@20023230 - nothing fake about the 2019 tips on mine but I do agree with Terry - this new style of exhaust surround is not my favourite. And in response to Terry's other statement, this is not the standard entry but a few rungs up. I've ordered this in Tango Red (Black optics) and cannot wait (for Jun/Jul'22). The Performance/near-RS5-looks were the keys to ordering one (and saving a shed load over the RS5)

Just checked out the Audi Canada site, and now you can spec pretty much this exact car. The only difference is piano black trim inside (yuck) and 19” rotors (yessss).

I have owned a 2019 Audi RS5 for nearly a year now, while waiting for The Holy Grail, the Audi Avant RS6. The longer I own it and the more I read, I'm no longer as sure that I truly want to trade the RS5 for the Avant. I guess only a test drive, come spring, hopefully will tell the tale.
Looks like the 2020 Hyundai sonata and the new kia k5 had a super baby. Can see where both those companies are drawing inspiration from

@@nongrada6004 probably not that different to my current A4 because it is based on the same plattform...😄 but I had to go for the 40 TDI because there wasn't a Diesel 6 cylinder to choose when I ordered it so it would have a little bit less power...

Rs5 is out of my price range and the A5 isn't sporty enough for what I would like. It's also a TFSI Quattro S5 in North America and not the TDI, which I prefer to have the petroleum power plant

This is a gorgeous car. That being said I don't like that the German manufacturers take aesthetics from their high performance models and put them on base models. That's just my opinion though.

I think the A5 is a great looking compact luxury car. I think being a base model it is fine the way it is. No need for S seats or anything like that that isn't an S car. The same as a 4 series or C class.

I can follow your thinking, and though I personally agree with the whole S-line badges and the car not being a real S-line except visual, I do understand the benefits of for example the S-line sport seats. And yes, somebody who would have the RS5 could raise a eyebrow... however he and anyone else knows when he hits the gas, he is gone... I could live with that idea, seeing a look a like car.

Not sure why the A5 would be an option when you have the S5 and RS5 to choose from. I have a 2009 S5 with the 4.2 V8 and a manual trans and it is amazing.

Per Audi, the U.S. 2021 Sportback only gets the 201 hp engine and 6.4 to 60. The 2 door gets the more powerful motor. I don’t understand why Audi does that. It’s practically a dealbreaker. Move up to the S and they are the same output. Of course you can always put a stage 2 tune on it like my 2016 has. Mine’s now close to the output of the S and puts a big grin on your face. And, I have the 6 speed manual that has been discontinued. BTW, love your car and this video!
