I'm in Law School so I read court manuscripts all the time for practice and what not. I always loved NFG as a teen, so I was super interested when the court finally released their findings. The reason the punishment seems so light is because this is what we refer to as a "stalled case". Hence, this case sitting in limbo for close to 7 years. It's what happens when somebody does something illegal but the evidence is circumstantial and, quite frankly, absolute trash. So, the prosecution just keeps digging and digging, hoping for some "gotcha" moment. They never got that moment here and they just gave up finally. The evidence was just flat out bad. Bad to the point you mentioned in that they were so clueless about the ages that they just picked 2 numbers..but there was a very strategic reason for those numbers. 9 is a single digit. It's more effective (gross) to imagine the girl was 9 than 10. They're both disgusting but 9 slightly edges out 10. Choosing 16 was very deliberate and far more important because 17 is legal. I'm boring myself now but long story short, he did some weird shit with girls who didn't appear to be 17. There is an enormous kicker to this whole thing, though. He could have easily gotten away with it. He WOULD have gotten away with it if he had just kept his mouth closed. The first time he was brought in, he cooperated and answered questions. (Never ever do that, even if you're innocent) He stated that he believed some of the girls were underage. That sealed his fate. My guess is he assumed the evidence would be coming any day and the quicker he cooperated, the easier they'd go on him. Didn't work out that way. 7 years went by and they ended up with the same evidence they started out with. You can't feel bad for him as he's clearly a perv and did some illegal shit but from a strictly legal perspective, he could have easily walked away with zero charges.

@@RendItAudio You're all over the place and I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say. If you're saying you can get him to put his side of the story out, that'd be great.

Not happening… I’ve spoken to Steve Klein personally, and he said that he doesn’t revolve himself around anything NFG related. He moved on a long time ago.

So not happening. Just listen to Resurrection if you want to know how they felt about that whole situation.

@@hapki9 Not to mention, it’s not up to him. Betraying lifelong friends does damage. NFG are all GOOD people, genuine and beyond. This whole situation was super traumatic and hurtful for them & their families (his as well). Resurrection was their best, IMO.

Steve Klein is New Found Glory. Nothing has been the same without him. From the big screen to your stereo 3 was not enough f's given it was just thrown together. I think the last decent album was radio surgery. Maybe he is a really big perverted guy. But he was why they are relevant is music. Not taking away from everyone else btw. Im sorry but please don't feel that way. But, had nothing bad happened. Imagine how many good songs could have been recorded. No one brings up cyrus when it comes to good drummers. Thats B.S. Anyway alot of famous ppl we love are SICK. Imagine the stories Stevie Nicks has about older perverted guys. Anyway, its NOT right.

I disagree Chad is new found glory…Chad writes the song…the only reason they got the start they did was cause Chad was the old singer of Shi halud so there was a buzz..the rest is history
