    During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of CZcams!

    I test drove one of these today (wasn't planning on it; went to test drive a fusion hybrid but saw this there, too). I was blown away. The Prius has this beat in only one place: rear cargo area access and volume. The Volt's is ample, but the Prius is a barn. The torque of the Prius makes it drive like a corolla, while the torque of the Volt makes it drive like...a faster Corolla. Very nice for real world driving, I loved it. I didn't see that coming and my Kia Niro dreams may have just been put on the back burner.

    • @BoopSnoot
      @BoopSnoot Před 3 lety

      That's not true, the Volt will first send up a warning and then force gasoline usage, because otherwise you would get fuel sludge buildup, and its very bad for an engine to go more than a year without circulating oil in it which stops corrosion and sludging.

    Questions: So we bought a 2017 Volt with about 37,000 miles on it right as California was going into quarantine. I've only driven it 15 miles since March 13, 2020. Since I'm in my 70s and this kind of car is quite different than what we are used to, I'm trying to learn about it online. I have only driven it in electric mode. How long will the gas be good? If I want to drive it using gas before the electricity is used up, do I just put it in the Hold mode? Is it bad to use up all the electricity or does it not make any difference? Thanks!

    • @marilynbennett9868
      @marilynbennett9868 Před 4 lety +1

      @Jim Patriot I've now driven 500 miles (in 6 months) and know more about it. The car was only charging to 52 miles and then went down to 51. I was disappointed but thought it was only because it was a used car. However, we drove to the local mountains and on the way down I put it in mountain mode. It recharged the battery on the way down the hill to 55 miles (only supposed to be 53.) Now when I recharge it, it charges to 54 miles the last three times.

    I have an interesting question for you; do you know if that regenerative brake paddle on the steering wheel activates the brake lights as well?

      I'm sure it does but I didn't double check it.

      Yes, it does. I've been told that the brake lights are activated when the braking force reaches a certain level. The brake lights can also be activated in L mode (again, depending on the amount braking force).

    Dont care about this chevy, just wanted to say thanks for the variety. I appreciate you making these for the people who actually want to buy them and are interested in them, so they can check it out and see how its like before making a decision.

    Hey Kyle how are you? You should try and review a Land Rover Defender if you could!

    Do you plan to film any more 2017 cars. Like the 2017 Toyota rav4 or the 2017 Honda odyssey elite?

    Much improved camerawork and editing from previous years' videos. Two points you missed: automatic emergency braking is optional and the car can park itself. Otherwise, a very thorough review. It is indeed a fantastic car.

    Do you know if Opel will offer an updated Ampera based on this Volt?

    Great video, and a really nice car! But, i was wondering if you could try and find a Chevrolet Bolt EV to review. I'm a big supporter of EVs and plug-in hybrids like the Volt. Would be nice if you could review some more Electric Vehicles like the Mercedes B-class electric, the newer generation Nissan Leaf, the Ford Focus electric and Fusion Energi. You seriously make the best car reviews on CZcams, and i would love it if you could do some more green vehicles. #EV4life
