Love the idea of the detachable legs. However, all other plow disc cookers I've seen they welded the holes shut instead of using bolts.

My braai rooster se handvastels is ook hoefysters. Hy werk baie lekker!

That was a great video ! Not that Many of Us have a lathe though .
    EDIT :
If You ( or , Anyone for that matter )
had a Webber grill or a wood smoker
of the correct size You could just place the disc on the top of the grill
( then You could take the cooked food inside , if You wanted to .
Looks like it would make cleaning
    easier too ) .

I thought the metal would have been thicker on those discs, I am more interested in rocket stoves built with 1/4" tubing.

Why not just weld the holes shut?
Wouldn't that be faster and easier?
Plus the back would not have the bolts sticking out to poke holes in a carrying bag 👍

I have made several of these and all the work you put in them is cool, I'm just not going to go thru all those steps to get the same end result.

😂 I had limited amounts of vinegar. You can use either or. It helps to remove the last of Iron oxide from the surface. Then you rinse and add your "seasoning" oil.
It also gives the pan an awesome patina.
