Somehow Voivod very late in their career made the MOST VOIVOD album they’ve ever made. This is already in my top 5 Voivod albums! Serious Dimension Hatross vibes meets Nothingface. The vocals are perfect! I feel 17 again. Thank you gents!

You hear the first two seconds of the song and you know immediately that is Voivod. No other band sounds like them. That's the Voivod's way. An unique band. They nailed it again. Fantastic.
We can thank the metal gods for giving us Dan. This is like a fairy tale come true. A fan who essentially learned to play his instrument by learning VoiVod tunes inheriting the band that inspired him to play in the first place. A synchronous event that could only be pulled off with intentional force. There is a grand design, this is proof. Piggy is behind it all. Thankful for us we have some great new music to show for it…
Not sure about the design of it but over here in Québec, very early on, everyone felt like Dan could join Voïvod on second guitar. How great it is to see him keeping Piggy's legacy going while contributing great new music to the band he loved so much.

@@c.h.u.d sadly Piggy passed I believe in 2005 if I remember correctly. I felt gutted hearing the news back then. An absolutely unique and brilliant musician that did what very few but only the best musicians on the planet can do, create an identifiable musical language unique to them. A very short list of players have accomplished this in a lifetime, Allan Holdsworth is among that short list. The beautiful thing about Dan is he understands and speaks the VoiVod language fluently, so much so that even you couldn’t tell the difference…I love this band so much…

To be fair this does sound like it could be on Nothing Face or Killing Technology. Still fucking great, if it isn't broken don't fix it is what I say.
The new album is amazing from start to finish. So proud of them.
First time I heard Voivod was in 1989; Sub Effect. I couldn't get enough after that. They still blow me away! No other band has held up over time the way Voivod has.
Chewy is a genius amongst guitarists, and combined with Rocky, the band is now back to being the creative force that they used to be. Long may they continue.

Those 3 and limits are my favorite
For voivod fans it's a flavorful Jazz part, for everyone else it's a guitar solo.
The four best voïvod albums are killing technology, dimension hatröss, nothingface and angel rat. The outer limits has some good songs such as Jack Luminous and Lost Machine,but some of the songs on it are gay sounding. So far this new album of theirs hopefully is back sounding early Voïvod

Another masterpiece from my favorite band through all time. Since I heard Voivod on "Speed Kills" with War and Pain have they been delivered music at a level no other band have even come close to achieve. Long live Voivod - through thick and thin - Always amazing! Thank you for almost 40 years of musical perfection.

imo there were some more weak releases in the time when Piggy passed, but who can blame through those tough times. Since target e they are on track again and even more precise than in the 80s!
@@alexanderarnold7246 It is amazing how Daniel has taken over the heritage from late Piggy and Voivod sounds better than ever in my point of view. I remember being on a businesstrip to Korea the day Piggy died - I was devastated by the news but Voivod manage to rise from the ashes.

Favorite band of all time. Voivod always delivers. I was lucky enough to stumble across Voivod in 1985, and have loved them ever since.
I'm a newer voivod fan, being only 18. But I haven't found anything close to them since I first discovered them a few albums back. Sci-fi experimental, avante garde, thrash. It's such a unique formula.

Remember when Voivod songs were science fiction, and now they've gone full-on documentary! No but really, brilliant music video and a tantalizing sample of the new material! As someone who's followed both Voivod and Chewy Mongrain for 20+ years (since early high school) it's still a dream come true to see these forces unite! Hails from Mexico City by way of Los Angeles!

I have listened to Voivod since I Was 14 (Around time of Nothingface) , they continue to bring it again and again. While most bands from that era remain stagnant, Voivod continues to be inventive and unique. Chewy has helped reinvigorate this band since joining, he keeps the spirit of Piggy alive as well. He is very versatile and can play just about any style as well. The new bassist Rocky kicks ass too, one of the best distorted bass tones I have heard on an album.

40 years of Voivod! Each time I become a metal teen again at each new album.
Great new music which kind of makes me a bit melancholic right now. Reminds me of long forgotten times when I drove through my hometown with this "Killing Technology" sticker on my car, it was 1988. One year before I saw VOIVOD on stage, kind of scared when I saw Blacky sitting on a barstool with his sidecut. Later I lost my interest, after Angel Rat, which not disappointed me but I was too hungry to discover lots of new, very different music. Exactly 30 later VOIVOD came to play a very small venue nearby and it was time to see them again. That night I spoke to Chewy and stood face to face with Snake shouting down the small stage. Again I was "scared" though I'm old now, some things never change. But now I know I always loved you, VOIVOD...

Such a unique band. Only started listening to them within the past year, but I’m so glad I found them. Dan Mongrain is a wizard on the guitar. Love the vocals. Not to mention, love the concept of their art. Gonna have to get a shirt when they play a show in the Western New York area
