    Very thorough sewalong - some great tips as well. I was not that keen on this pattern but your sewalong has made it one to purchase. Beautiful dress.

    Thank you for this really helpful video. I just bought this pattern and some crepe fabric which is very soft and drapy and I was very apprehensive about tackling this. You gave so many helpful tips, such as ironing the interfacing before cutting out those pieces from the fabric, and the use of the spray starch for the clean finished edges. It does seem a good idea to interface both sides of the waistband. I feel a lot more confidant about this project now.

    This video detailing the making of the Elodie wrap dress is thorough, engaging, and easy to follow and understand. I bought this pattern as a PDF a long time ago and will be reprinting it soon and making it - with your excellent tutorial. Thanks for uploading this Sewalong!

    Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I have a question. When you flip the front bodice pattern to cut a mirror image do you also do all the notches. Thank you.

    • @joanneroberts2357
      @joanneroberts2357 Před rokem

      Yes you do Susan. The notch on the front sloping edge is to match up the facings and there is a facing on both sides. Good luck with your make.

    Hi, thank you so much, I had purchased the pattern but was struggling with the waist band fittings and turning in the belt with the overhang. With your help I finished the dress, but like Jan Spenno I would really appreciate help with the hemming specifically with a fluid fabric.
    Again thanks. Liz❤

    Is that a left handed sewing machine I spy? I didn’t know such things existed 😮

    • @MinervaDotCom
      @MinervaDotCom  Před rokem

      No, I'm afraid not, the video has been flipped so it seems like it a left handed machine

    Thank you for these clear instructions, will now cut out the fabric I have had for so long. What type of marking pen is it you are using on the Viscose, only chalk and pencil markers don't work on this type of fabric?

    • @MinervaDotCom
      @MinervaDotCom  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Carole, Chalk would work fine wit this type of fabric :) Chalk would be our recommendation

      You can also use an air erasable pen
