Grand Theft Auto III is a 2001 action-adventure game developed by DMA Design and published by Rockstar Games. It is the first main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series since 1999's Grand Theft Auto 2. Set within the fictional Liberty City (loosely based on New York City), the story follows a silent protagonist, Claude, who, after being betrayed and left for dead by his girlfriend during a robbery, embarks on a quest for revenge that leads him to become entangled in a world of crime, drugs, gang warfare, and corruption. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. The open world design lets players freely roam Liberty City, consisting of three main islands.

I genuinely believe we will see a GTA 3 remake next year. Rockstar also said that they were announcing something for the 20th anniversary of GTA3. Replaying the old games with modern graphics and physics would be a huge nostalgia rush, if it was done well.
They aren't going to do anything imo. Gta online ended the gta franchise, Rockstar has no reason to do anything regarding the gta series but keep updating gta online since it still gives them all the money they want.

The color shading for the overall world seems quite similar to the irl counterpart of LC. Otherwise it was mostly a bluish haze for GTA III and a gray tint for GTA LCS. It now feels more like my beloved NYC.

Looks way better than any of the remasters Rockstar Will put out. It makes sense why they’re taking down certain mods. I hope the remasters look like this, but I doubt it. I’d love to see Vice city this same way too!
