Hello, i have a question. I am an absolute beginner on double bass, so... When you put your fingers on the bass like that, does the second finger become (sort of) the central point of the hand? Where the most pressure goes? (sorry, bad English maybe...) Thank you.

When you use your 2nd or 4th fingers to play a note, the other fingers are completely at rest and only a tiny amount of effort is required to play the note due to the use of hand/arm weight pressing the strings down.
Good luck with your new bass. We have a beginner's section on our free lessons library which should be helpful. discoverdoublebass.com/lessons-library

Hey Daniel, thanks, I'm glad you like the tone. It's a German bass that's about 100 years old, but it's had a lot of work done to it including a new front and neck, so a lot of it's actually modern. It works great with the Evah Weich strings though.
