The toucan looks nice. I love your colors, I am a green and blue person too. The cockatoo is wow and rhe leaves leaves! He definitely has a personality. You brought him too life
Hi Ana! Just love your birds! The cirrus flow breaks gold/yellow on texture so I think when there is no texture, it just flows down. If you look at the photo on the bottle you can see the yellow on the texture. Love the planter too...Thanks for sharing :)
I agree on the “No” to re-firing the beautiful pot. The focal point of the piece could become altered without a guarantee that the crawling would be fixed. …. I’m super curious about the no-pinhole air pockets. I’d like to know more about your process and materials you prefer for them to not explode in the kiln as others commonly say. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work and thoughtful process of creating. 🌺
Thank you so much! I appreciate your feedback! Take a look at my 3 Part live videos. I show how I sculpt the hollow bird on the mugs. No need to put any holes. I dry them slowly and only bisque fire when it’s bone dry, that’s the key! It won’t explode!🫶🏻
Beautiful work… thank you for sharing it. I would not refire the planter. The glazes will continue to flow and you would likely lose the contrast between the midnight rain and the other glazes. There is also the risk of crawling on the outside .
Beautiful items! Thank you for sharing ideas and the glazes, much appreciated. I would not refire the planter, I think you will lose the drips it is showing now, it is a piece of art!
The speckled clay is gorgeous, and I love how the yellow turned out on the handle with the parrot. You’re so talented. Did you carve the parrot in the cockatoo or is that just from the liner in the glaze making texture? The seltzer chunks is stunning. funny, you mentioned the yellow in the series flow because I was looking at those glazes on the Maaco website. And I saw some gold it their sample . the tests with underglazes under pearlwhite are very interesting The planter you made for your son is a true work of art. My friend loves Al’s. It would be wonderful to see how you made those owls. I don’t really think you need to refire, but if it really bothers you that much, I would maybe try some low fire glaze to cover that because if you go lower your less likely to mess up that painting but it’s gorgeous as is.
No no no. I'm a perfectionist too but I would not re-fire. The color blends in. I fear you would change the lovely glaze flow and alter the colors. Just set a potted plant in it and look at it again tomorrow. Really...
These are just remarkable!! I can never get over how amazing your pieces are. Just an fyi. Your cones in the cone pack are not in there the right way. They have to go in a very specific way. The flat part of the cone is supposed to face the dot on the cone pack so it sits at the perfect degree it’s supposed to. I would not refire the pot. No one will ever see it. I know how it is when you don’t like something you make but I’m afraid remelting the glazes would be a sad thing.
Thank you so much Michele! I also appreciate your tip for the cone pack. I just bought it and I knew they didn’t bend the correct way!😂 The good thing is that in both shelves they were exactly the same. Thanks again and I won’t re-fire the planter.🙏🏻💞
Beautiful! Please don't retire.
I absolutely love the toucan without the clear glaze!!!❤
Thank you Andrea for your feedback! I do too!💞
Beautiful pieces. The planter is gorgeous as is. I wouldn’t refire
Thank you Lisa! I won’t refire, my son is very happy with it. It’s just me being picky.😊

Aw thank you, that’s so nice of you to say!🙏🏻
I love seeing your glaze tests! They give me both ideas and information. I wouldn’t refire the beautiful pot, either. It’s gorgeous just as is.
Aw thank you so much for your input Mary! It’s much appreciated.🙏🏻

Hi Star, that’s good to know. I didn’t know if it was caused by the clay I use. It happens with flux blossom as well.
Thank you so much!👍🏻💞

Love your videos - thank you! I wouldn’t refire the planter - it gives it character :)

The cockatoo and conure mugs are not carved, the texture is from the Cuerda seca technique.
Beautiful, I would not fire the pot again. Is going to have a plant and you probably won’t see it.
Thank you! I appreciate your input!💞
I would leave it. You will never see it. It is such a beautiful piece, you should not take chance.
Thank you Andrea! I agree with you, I’ll leave it as is.🙏🏻

Thank you so much! I believe you’re right. I wouldn’t want to change the outcome of the other glazes at all.🙏🏻💞

do not refire the planter, it's beautiful as it is
Thank you Linda for your input!
I’ll go with the consensus!💞
Sorry, meant please don't refire.
No worries!😂
I didn’t, and once I put plants inside you couldn’t see the glaze crawling areas!🙏🏻💞
Oh I thought It was from the other planter video.😂
I might try with only one mug just to see what happens.
