You had me at account maintenance. If I leave my account and set it and forget it, I will be charged $50.

M1 has left me a little less than thrilled lately. Tried to transfer an IRA and apparently no one knew where the money went. Three months later and they still had no idea. I kept going back and forth w support only to be told they’d escalate the matter. Pretty odd that the minute I mentioned seeking legal assistance the money was back w my old institution. It’s a good platform but not sure what that was about, especially since it was a simple transfer based on their guidelines.

Investing Made Stupidly Simple, I have a learning disability which makes somethings very confusing to me. like this web site, trust me i am not stupid , but when it comes to this stuff i don't understand things that you and other will find very simple. i opened my account in 2019 and was able to set up an account , but i still don't know how i did , a lot of youtube video's . now i find that they have changed the web site a bit and it is just one more way of confusing me. i am sure they didn't do it just to confusing. but it is more confusing than ever. i am just trying to buy S&P global and there are just too many steps for me. i try talking to someone on the phone which just made ever more confusing to me. the best way to can explain it, is like telling an over weight person just have only one piece of pie. to me that is simple , but i don't understand how there mind works. educated people don't understand how my mind works. i can read people like a professor can read a book. but that skill doesn't work when i am trying to read this M1 finance.

can you have a daily or weekly automation of investing and purchases? So like if I would want to do $10 a day purchases in fractions across my pie allocations?

Can I have more then one pie in M1? Not as a slice of an existing pie, but to have a separate pie. I want to have a separate stocks pie and a bond pie.
I don't see such an option in M1

That’s the bummer. I’ve been with M1 for the last two years. So my investments in the S&P is somewhat slow at 50. Weekly . My gains are slowly starting to compound but now I’m getting 3. Dollars off my gains. I’m starting to look for other platforms.

    BE CAREFUL EVERYONE.
M1 is now charging 36.00 a year when your account with them is less than 10k
I’ve had and currently am with M1, but actively looking for another platform to move to.

    • @wealthhacker

they do offer checking/savings. They technically not a bank but they have partnered with a bank to offer banking products and FDIC insurance

That Crypto pie is tragic. Shocking weighting to an unproven asset coming from a financial advisor.

That pie is a very small percentage for my entire portfolio.

    !!!!!!!!!Be extremely cautious:!!!!!!
M1 took a deposit as a "fee" & said my account was under the $50, then they lied & said my account was extended by 90 days then they sold my stock & kept the $ & liquidated my account over a fee they said was "up to $50" I have been emailing back & forth for a month & they won't tell me why they sold my stock & kept the $.
I opened similar accounts with their competitors at the same time & they haven't done this. I would definitely choose Webull or MooMoo over them because of this.
