Im going back for my 2th season for a river cruise(Avalon) on 28th 😊i can just recommend,much better then ocean cruise as we have 8weeks work 3weeks paid holiday (Asians colleagues spend the 3weeks on other ships and traveling around eu for free or going home). I can saving 95% of my salary as rhey have food,drink and cabin so i dont have to spend much
As an Indian who has chinese looks and being discriminated even in my own country. I'm not sure if they would accept as one of them. It seems I would be alone in this journey😢
No! There are lots of indians on board who came from northern part and there is no discrimination tho just not vibing i guess, but you can make friends with other nationalities instead!

Aww don't worry I have so many north east people working in the hotel with me in goa.. we don't discriminate and even other parts of the world won't discriminate you don't worry.

I had 3 workmates from meghalaya they were in F&B they also joined the ship in June and they are really happy no one discriminates them .. discrimination only happens in North India .. in goa or other parts of India there is no discrimination against north east people.
I have a question concerning the intent to work in cruise ship as a a person that has strong phobia of big dogs and isn't easy to overcome it at all,I have been in ships many times and seen there are a lot of people bringing their big dogs,so cruise ship which would be double bigger than ships I've been to,I imagine there will be there a lot of dogs,any advice?
There will be some cabin stewards assigned just to sanitize the cabin. They are scheduled weekly. But organizing your room, cleaning the toilet and maintaining the cleanliness of it will be our responsibility :)

Hi! I can understand how you feel, but don't worry there will be a lot of women in the ship as well, and in any case that there are men who are trying to force themselves to you, we have an onboard HR where you can file a report. Also be strong, if you don't mind them they will eventually stop. P.S Don't let your fear of men be the reason that you will not achieve your dream!

YES! Well speaking from the company i am working with there are indians came from north part, not much but yes there are. You won't be alone!

To be honest, 3 years working in costa cruises, i only saw one golden retriever as a service dog. I don't think so dogs are common inside the ship
