It's an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it. You need to plan ahead before you leave - use Google maps to plan your route.

Do you need Carnet de Passage en Douanes to drive UK car to Turkey through Europe?

No you don't. No Carnet de Passage is required up until Turkey, you will need one if you want to enter any countries after Turkey, e.g Iraq, Iran etc.

Salaam, there are no entry requirements for British passports. Other passports might have extra requirements. For the car, you need to make sure that the insurance is valid in each country that you drive through.
