Some people treat me like I'm crazy for my passion for learning music as a language, making as much contact with the vibrations as possible... but I look at my predecessors such as Pierre and Gabor Szábo shoot their acoustics up and down their spine, their muscles respond, and I feel like I've finally met my breed of people. So much to learn. So many days of joy are ahead of us all if we learn just what we want to feel... the interpretations are endless, as long as we are endless. ❤

Pierre be Susan is one in a million acoustic guitarist. I listen to his music to help me with my depression and loneliness. Hes music and his kind words save my life from me wanting to commit suicide. Don't get jealous of what he can do to get where he's been and at. Sit down and practice the guitar for 5 or 10 hours a day and just play!!!! Don't stare at you're instrument play the damn thing. Plus CZcams videos tutorials is out there learn and take you're time. Find what works for you. There's enough Tommy Emmanuel wannabes outhere and Andy McKee. Find you're voice find you.

This tune is quite literally the reason I play in DADGAD guitar- and one of the great honors of my life has been sharing space in a songbook with Pierre back in 2000 ("Pierre Bensusan Presents: DADGAD Guitar"- now OOP.) Thank you, Pierre- for pointing me in the right direction and for sharing your guitar voice with the world!

When I met Michael Hedges in Davis at a small nightclub bar venue, mid-late '80s, maybe 100 of us in there to enjoy his concert that evening, I asked him what music HE listens to.
The first name he mentioned is the artist playing here before you.

    Pierre,

A sublime statement from an artist who is continually re-shaping his canvas, if I can abuse a metaphor
. And George Lowden must be putting out one serious happy dance. Love the Dragon Drool near the soundhole. Reminds me a bit of Bert Jansch. Not the Drool, the style.:)

Notes deep into souls.深入灵魂的音乐!“The idea is that you borrowed somthing wherever, let's call it 'universe' you do something with it, you cook something, you make a recipe, and then you give it back to the world”音乐就像你从宇宙中的某个角落借来了一些东西,通过你调制成一项食谱,然后把它归还给世界。它从来不是你私人的东西。

wonderful technical skills.....but no discipline.....compositions are just a stream of consciousness semi-melancholy whining with some inspired winning riffs thrown in here and there. Far far above anything i could ever do but with so much skill you'd think he could pump out more than blunderbuss collections of notes...................where is the memorable melody? the heroic passionate lyric? we just get bushels and bushels of harmonious amorphous pleasant tones starting in a random place, hopping along, and ending up somewhere over there, like a herd of genius rabbits
