I love making DIY pastes. Glow pigment posters make a very interesting, spooky effect for kids cards and adults with a sense of humor! Thanks for a new way to make pastes. I never tried PVA alone. I always mixed it with another clear medium. Your card is beautiful. I also made some of the gilding wax. Thank you.

So pretty! I reslized this morning that my sisters birthday is tomorrow and I hadn't made her a card yet. So I opened up my precuts for a happy birthday and as I have been doing a lot of cutting this past week, I used stirpes of leftover cuttings and other bits and pieces, including a Happy Brithdya Girl sissix embossing folder I had. Turned out pretty well. Amazing how much nicer the card looks once you have trimmed off the sides and matted it with the same paper that the Happy Birthday had been embossed on. Thanks for the idea!

I’ve had some really great success with the heavy gloss gel - liquitex makes one as well as a few others. It’s got a thicker consistency and is really similar to the Nuvo paste when mixed with glitter.

I use Sam Calcott's recipe for texture paste because it's MUCH cheaper (baby powder, white glue, white acrylic paint) that I add inks, mica powder, and/or fine glitter. I'm addicted to texture paste backgrounds but don't make cards from them! Thank you, Natalie, for inspiring me to get going

    • @nbcascards

Would this work with a clear gesso ? I’ve got quite a bit of that , and a stupid amount of glitters . Also , does the cheap pva glue dry mat aswell as clear ? I use ranger mat medium as it dries clear and mat but could do with a cheaper option to be honest . Grateful for any answers you can provide x

I haven't tried it with clear gesso. It might be a bit runny, but you could give it a go and see. The PVA glue I use dries glossy.
