Erin and AVGN have the most authentic game rooms. Nothing fancy, just games in card boxes and a huge mess. This is my ideal game room
To anyone scrolling through these comments today, have a wonderful day & remember you are beautiful & Awesome 😊. Thanks for the great video, Erin!
What a rad game room. Not every game room should look like you walked into a library. Just the bear necessities.
Great collection! Certainly trips the nostalgia valve.
Thank you!
@@ErinPlays Sony, Nintendo, Sega, all looking Fan.chas.tik with you 💝
I feel less bad for also having my loose carts in random bins and boxes. Never easy to display everything perfectly. Love that your collection is so varied. Great Video Erin.
Your game room and collection is so cool. Seeing a lot of that stuff brought back great memories from my childhood.
(Bible Buffet attempts to murder Erin on-camera)
Erin: "Bible Buffet is chill"
I see these types of videos and it makes me even more anxious to have my own place just to have a game room...
Cheers Erin!
"Look at the lettuce!" I dunno why that made me laugh.
She is the one named Sailor Moon! ⭐✨
Mike!
Erin is adorable. I wonder if she's available... ;)
Hi Mike, I am a big fan of your work with Cinemassacre! Always enjoy Mondays
@@ruraladventurer1884 pathetic.
I loved seeing a little more into your game collection! I laughed out loud at your US Sailor Moon doll because I had the exact same one growing up and always wondered why their faces were so weird.
You have an awesome bunch of games and consoles though! Thank you for sharing!
haha, thank you!
Erin needs waaaaay more subscribers. The most underrated gamer on CZcams.
Haha aw, thank you! I appreciate the support :)
Oh yeah
Hopefully she will survive with all the cartridges around her!!
3 Years wow I’ve been around a few months watching your channel I always say your deserve more subscribers!
This is dedication... jesus. It must be difficult without the room. I can't even start to whine. 😂
I really like the sound of cartridges bumping against each other. Brings back happy childhood memories.
lol I love the ending "ouw, my hand!"
That was a very cool tour 😊😃
Especially the classic consoles. They had so much personality, and wild designs. And many treasures
Sony TV's specially Trinitron, had to be one of the best brands of CTR tv's ever, not to mention they are very durable. I still have one from 1998. +20 years and still good quality for retro-gaming. I remember around 2009 I bougth a Philco flat CTR TV, the display quality was not that nice, and later become shit in just 7 years, and finally broke in 2018, while the Trinitron still alive.
Wish I could be her tech. I’d love to be able to set up all the gear and get everything ready for each session. That’d be such a blast!
Oh man, the sight of that SNES yellowed with age and use warms my heart.
6 months later, but Ikea sells shelf splitters for their cube storage units. They are in the store. If you are crafty, you can also make your own with thin 1/8in plywood too.
very interesting to watch since I like watching other people’s collection in general... it gives me inspiration for my own
thanks for showing your personal game collection
Woah, two 40+ minute room tours in a day?
I can't even. ❤️❤️
That sweet 4 monitor setup, though. Erin's hacking into The Matrix.
That GAMEBOY Burger Time box is wild.
I love games room tours. But you should check out retro gamer boy's room tour for some inspiration. He has a small room, not as small as yours I think. But what he's done with it is stunning. He did a room tour a few weeks ago and my jaw hit the ground. There are some cool things you could bring to your room. Great video as always, I also love the old Japanese NES carts😍
Geez some of those toys took me back.. Wish I took better care of my stuff as a kid.
Giant Bulbasaur! 😍
I love sailormoon too ! 😍
Great collection! There were so many games and systems I haven’t heard of yet but I’d love to grow my collection like this one day 😆 that backlit Gameboy Color and everdrive is definitely top of my list though!
Lady you're such a breath of fresh oxygen 🎉🎉
this channel is underrated
You have your own Batcomputer set up since your Batgirl. I love you and your room Erin. 💓💜💋
You have a great collection! Thank you for sharing this.
She didnt like your post. Sorry you're lame
i love these videos! especially the angry video game nerd room tours! It's funny to see that i'm not the only one who sets up bookcases and things and leaves the panel letters on for putting it together. :) These videos give good info on how to set up your game room. Good work Erin! :)
Awesome video, Erin. Thanks for taking us behind the scenes and into your personal life a bit.
Hey Erin, nobody here. I just discovered your channel after initially searching for Vectrex content. First off that Vectrex video was stellar, and this room tour episode? AMAZING. I feel it should have WAY more views than your "power pad " upload, which was hilarious but I think we all know why that video did better numbers... It's not a bad thing, but it highlights how fundamentally male-dominated gaming culture still is, especially retro gaming.
Which is partly why I like seeing content like this room tour. It reminds me that retro gaming isn't just a boys club; seeing genuine female representation within this community is inspiring. To be clear, I say "partly" because the reason your game room is so flipping amazing is not simply because you are a woman. Rather, it's the passion and knowledge you exude. Your room and livelihood speaks for itself: the coveted BVM, the curated game library, the nod to obscure things like Tiger electronics, the Vectrex, the vintage toys. They're not sealed away like museum exhibits, they are ready to be taken off the shelf and played with, used, talked about, etc. You are the definition of authentic. You visibly come alive when sharing these prized possessions with all of us. Honestly, you come across as an enthusiast first and a content creator second. Not the other way around (which is a regrettable trend I've observed in recent years).
It's also worth mentioning that seeing young millennial representation in the retro scene = chef's kiss. You look about my age (I was born in 1988) and I don't know about you, but nothing makes me feel older than my 26 year old colleagues asking me what a Sega Genesis is. I used to think folks my own age would be better company to keep, but most of them simply don't care about or remember the games we played when we were kids, much less games our parents played. They prefer their Xboxes and PlayStations. The only people IRL I've been able to talk to about classics like Tempest and Pole Position are 40-50 year old men I meet off Craigslist while hunting for CRTs with good geometry. It's disheartening.
So yeah, thank you for existing and reminding me that I'm not oddball obsessing over games released before I was even born. I've only watched three of your videos so far but I have a feeling that number will go up. I'm definitely subscribing.
Hey! Thank you very much for taking the time to write this comment and I'm so glad to hear you liked my Vectrex video! I just like making videos about things I'm interested in (even if I'm not an expert, ha,) in the hopes that someone can find it fun and relatable. And the world would be a better place if you could randomly talk to people IRL about Pole Position and Tempest, but at least we have the internet!
2:08 I'm sure you figured out the shelf situation by now but if not then you can buy the pegs/ pins/ studs for your shelf at home depot or any hardware store. then look up shelves you can buy in the dimensions you want. Ikea will probably have some since these shelves already have holes for those shelf pegs.
I want an EVERDRIVE soooo bad. But anyway, great vid and I'm so surprised how small the room is. It's pretty cool though. 😎 BTW, loving the Castlevania music.
That is a great tour of your room! It is very cool that you have a collection of a lot of different generations of video game consoles and games. It is like a mini museum of video games. I grew up with the Atari 2600 and recognize a lot of the older consoles you have but never played some of them like the Vectrex because it was very expensive back then and today it is even more expensive. Vector graphics games are still great to play.
Thanks for watching!
@ErinPlays Hello there, I wanted to ask you a few questions about connecting consoles. What power surge protectors do you recommend for modern consoles such as PS5, XBOX Series X, Nintendo Switch? What power surge protectors you recommend for NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, XBOX, XBOX 360, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, and GameCube consoles? Please recommend a few and any that you actually use for modern and older consoles and how many can be connected? Do you have advice how many can be connect and what power surges or power surge you use or know and the max that can be connected and that you can please recommend? If there are lights that go out in the home for any reason or for thunderstorms, what is safe to use to not have problems with consoles? Thanks.
Hillarious. I love your sence of humor.
Ikea sell glass shelves in packs of two with a template to allow you to split the cubes in two 2 or 3 shelves. They are dead cheap and so useful!
2:53 I had one of these and enjoyed playing Star Tropics & Bard's Tale over a weekend and promptly trading it for credit towards an SNES. Enjoyed it thoroughly but in the end made the right move going for the SNES. 10:20 Great Collection!
Man that N64 collection is my childhood in a box. ❤️ it. Keep on collecting!
Cette fille connait les bonnes choses ! Merci pour cette présentation :)
If you haven't yet solved the shelf division, I have some potentially useful, though incomplete info. I don't know their names, as my wife already owned them when we started dating, but Ikea makes (made?) metal shelf inserts for those bookcases. They are sort of like a very small table with very stable legs that is half the height of the cube. I have my various systems set up two to a cube as a result.
I bought a SNES Classic awhile back and paid a kid on Craigslist to add games to it.. From that point on, I got absolutely hooked back on videogames..
I have all the newer game systems and tons of games I barely played.. I have games I haven't even opened.. I was buying the newer consoles for decorations
I actually put in a lot of hours into my SNES Classic and I got a PS1 Classic fairly recently.. I bought a chip that added like 200 PS1 games to it and I've been hooked on that...
I very much prefer the videogames I grew up playing over the new ones..
I'm currently playing Parasite Eve.. That was a game I wanted to play but missed
I bought NES mini classic 2 years ago and it got back into videogames aswell . I decided to stick with retrogaming because it s so much fun to play.I m planning to buy Sega Mega Drive/Genesis mini soon.
I love how your collection isn’t just “grab it all because I need to have everything” and is more a reflection of your likes and interests.
Thanks! I just collect what I actually want and know I'll play :)
Perfect example of how lame can be exponential
Wow your setup is amazing.
Yes, Ikea sells inserts for the Kallax cube shelves. They have ones with 3 inserts, and ones with just one, which divides the cube in half :)
I noticed the word "Kallax" is also a village in Northern Sweden south outside of the town: Luleå. Check on Google map.
Yes Game Boy collection video please but do a 30 second review of each game like Mike :D
Vectrex is the best console that ever existed! There is a Vectrex fan group on Facebook that has a ton of indy devs of hardware and software. It's a great resource!
Holy monitors batman! 😮
Super Mario all stars!!!! I was so giddy when i 1st saw and played that game 😁
Thanks for sharing. You have a huge collection of retro video games and consoles.
I was born in 85. Never knew a top loader NES existed until I watched AVGN on CZcams. Never liked Sega cause I thought it crappy sound compared to the SNES. My fave system that I got in the 90’s was the Virtual Boy back in 95. Got it for my 10th birthday. Thanks for this Video Erin! Great nostalgia feelings here.
You have so much cool stuff, takes me right back to the 90s growing up. Awesome!
It's not just because you're nostalgic. Sailor moon Is and will forever be amazing and Like you I wanted nothing more than to be able to play those on my SNES (before i even knew i needed a mod). I instead had to settle for the emulators on PC because I didn't own my snes. I shared it with my brothers who hated sailor moon :( so I'm so happy to see you got to live out my childhood dream!
I've recently got into a lot of older games. This is awesome.
You fan-girling the Vectrex is just awesome!!!!!! ♥
I've been starting streaming lately and seeing this video was really great to see what I was missing. Thanks for the tour of the awesome Battlestation!!!!
N64 is the greatest system of all time. I still own like 15 consoles but only play N64. Also just decided to collect the whole library, I'm halfway!
Extra points for the Sailor Moon Mega Drive music!!
NES Advantage sucks? How dare you? I absolutely love it! Head and shoulders above the standard NES controller, which I never thought felt good in the hand.
Ok. Thanks to cinemassacre and your love for unique retro. You officially grown on me. Been doing the binge now I do the sub and comment! 😁
Love the colour of your place, very 1987!
3 years😱
I like all the Intellivision stuff!
This is amazing.
Good to finally see a CZcamsr showing the proper tools for cleaning game cartridges: 91% isopropyl alcohol and cotton buds.
Excelnte video, entretenido y divertido por cierto que bonita y variada coleccion tienes 👍🎮💚❤🎮
always fun these game collection tours / personal video's.
Great setup, really enjoyed thanks.
The Rainbow Brite cereal is made by Purina, the same people who make your dog food....awesome. lol
You are a gorgeous retro gamer Erin I play pole position 2 as well.😎
Cozy up with my game booiii...I do not know why but that made a lot of sense.
For a second, when you got out that Little Mermaid Tiger Electronics game, I thought it was my sister's. I played that a lot as a kid. She didn't care about it because she never got into video games. Like Erin, even then I knew it sucked, but somehow it held my attention.
Obviously the room screams *Erin*
Erin has her own lil Nerd Room~! :)
Only child here. Very spoiled. Beautiful room. Awesome setup's.
No Erin's Underwear drawer tour?
Would be your most watched video. Garaunteed.
So jealous of the Vectrex collection!!!!!
You have the best Vetrex collection I've ever seen, literally!! I am so impressed! You have the Tele Games Intellivision, that is great!! I've been collecting for years and your collection goes back further than mine and you have systems I've never even heard of, Unisonic? Good stuff!!
Wow, thanks!
Your workspace is sooo clean @_@ it's hard as hell to dust and vacuum mine with all the wires and crap Dx
I love the arcade marquees! So cool to see that Do! Run Run especially! Mr. Do! was one of the first games I played as a kid, and that was the only one of the original Mr. Do! games that I have never seen in arcade form.
I have the same 3 consoles hooked up at all times... NES, SNES, Mega Drive (or Genesis for NTSC folks)
Nice lil room Erin 😎
color cables now that's a very good idea thank's for mentioning that
It wouldn't be a game room without rubbing alcohol and q tips
Yes IKEA actually sells a glass divider compatible with their shelves. I installed one in my IKEA kallax! So worth it
You can get the shelf pins at any local hardware store. You can purchase small melamine white boards that would match too. May have to do a cut or two but it is very doable.
I haven't seen sailor moon before but the anime show of it is cool.😎
Great collection and 1 of my favorite CZcams channels
You have an awesome collection! It's so awesome that you have so much stuff from when you were a kid. And they're in such good condition!
33:50 I like how you knew GB was going to be a classic even back then. It's like I never let go of my copy of Wonder Boy 3 for the Master System even after we sold the SEGA, somehow I knew. I was right, it's super rare now and hundreds on eBay.
awesome gameroom erin !!!
so many great boxes in this video
Love the choice of background music. Mainly the tracks from the Castlevania series.
amazing video brought me back to such great time.
Wow 3 years to celebrate with your youtube channel nice to give us a good show your studio set
Wow we have the exact same Cartridge Cleaning Station (Q Tip and Alcohol) lol. Thanks for the tour your room is awesome
