Hence why punching the wall in pretty much every European country is going to end up with you having a broken fist. Thankfully we still have cupboards though, or women, they're both much more forgiving.

This reminds me of a lot of family Dynamics I Know in real life. I actually know kids who acted like this to parents who acted like that dad.

the dad did nothing to try and help his son. he just sits there watching his clearly depressed son struggle through life, letting out his frustrations on his father as a cry for help. the dad just waits for the problem to go away by ignoring his own son. the son just wants to feel loved deep down.
i'm not condoning what the son is doing but real shit can change someone when they're young. there's a reason he's trying to be the way he is.

Sean BULLSHIT, kids don’t act aggressive when they’ve been physically disciplined, they become regressive and avoid confrontation out of fear of being hit again (if it’s at an abusive level). Kids act like THAT when they when they think they’re invincible and there won’t be any consequences to their actions.
Physical discipline is a very thin line to walk along but it needs to be walked upon. It’s essential for children to grow up understanding that there are real life consequences to misbehaving and that those consequences will result in some very real pain sometimes, otherwise you risk raising a child that isn’t willing to compromise or sympathize/empathize.

Like the younger the kid is, the more I think it’s necessary for physical discipline. When they get older, just take their shit away like electronics and don’t give it back for a like a few weeks or something. I don’t know any teens over like 13 that still get whoopins anymore. And abuse will just lead to the child being even worse.
