I love this beautiful little gem of a song. When I listen to it, I want to play it over again and again. Those gorgeous harmonies! Adam, you are irreplaceable. 😪
How can a band with so much talent go unnoticed? I feel bad for them but I also like the idea of them being my little secret. Feel like I know the guys.
There was a perfect moment somewhere between the late 80's when it started to pick up some momentum and peaked thru the 90's and finally, seemed to pass into these 2000's...this growing group of great musicians who after coming up on the first wave of guitar pop from the beatles to the byrds, crosy, stills and nash, to credence, the archies to the zombies, this next generation lead by Tom Petty produced some of the coolest, most pure guitar and harmony rock ever derived. At times decidedly country and often with tinges of mandolins and layers of acoustic guitars laced with the ever present Hammond organs splash's - the rest of this group of bands includes groups like Green Day and the Goo Goo Dolls - but for my money Fountains of Wayne and the Gin Blossums were the best of the best. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that most of their 'hits' are over 20 years old now - I still think of them as new bands. And when it comes to pure harmony's, deceptively deep 'picture songs' with lyrics that at times are laugh out loud funny - all cloaked in enough hooks for an entire village to fish for 5 more generations - hands down Fountains of Wayne - the greatest band no one has ever heard of...
Saw them live about 5 times, caught Brian Young's drunk stick after a show. It was amazing. Glad the last time I saw them, they played I've Got A Flair. That's my favorite. I'm sure they'll do a reunion show in the future.
@@ZyxthePest Chris said in an interview once that he doesn't feel like he could play with them again after what he put them through. If they did though, I'll be first in line.
Ah, on the road... "Homeward Bound" and the many others. The Romance and the loneliness are all covered in the same dust of the highways that is clouding your windshield view.
One day, my husband said, "you have to check out this show, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, the songs are incredible". Little did he know all of the other gems Adam had already written... what a talent.. RIP
I wonder what happened to the other members of the band after members of the band after Adams’s death? You don’t hear much even from Chris Collins, the lead singer. What a great band.
Still have trouble listening to this song without tearing up. RIP Adam. 💔
FOW songs are so catchy and well-crafted, you're singing along with them before you've even heard them through the first time. 💖
Fare thee well, Adam. So damned sad.
Rest In Peace Adam❤❤❤ Gone but never FORGOTTEN
Always loved this pseudo-country song of theirs. Still haven’t come to terms with the fact that we will never have new music from Adam again.
I love this beautiful little gem of a song. When I listen to it, I want to play it over again and again. Those gorgeous harmonies!
Adam, you are irreplaceable. 😪
Love that steel too!
RIP Adam! World isn't the same without you.
One of my favorite Adam songs. R.I.P. brother.
RIP Adam. 😢

Best band of their era. Very sad it’s over now. Glad to have the songs.
Criminally unappreciated band. I love them and I hate that they aren't playing together anymore.
