    Victor Sperandeo, known as “Trader Vic”, is a US trader. Victor Sperandeo not only trades in stocks but also in commodities, particularly in the energy and metal sectors. Trader Vic is well known for having accurately forecast the 1987 stock market crash. I found your channel today trying to learn about volatility consolidation. Great examples and explanation. I mainly invest in bluechip divy stocks but want to trade more. My problem is charting, i am not the best. For example, $T (right now).....I can identify a trend on the daily from September to now but struggle with what ranges have more importance. Is a shorterm monthly trend more important than a weekly that might be longer? What ive learned tells me the monthly is more important than daily and weekly more inportant than daily, etc....
    Any adivce?

      i have a video on my channel about volatility contraction pattern (VCP). The timeframe that you should use depends on the individual, do you spend alot of time in front of the computer, what is your trading goal etc. For me personally, the daily & weekly best align with my goals and time that i allocate for trading

    The downtrend 2B rule example doesn’t make sense, because at that moment there is no way to know if that’s the lowest low or not

    • @LinusLimMJ
      @LinusLimMJ  Před 8 měsíci

      there is no strategy that can confirm with 100% accuracy if that's the lowest low. this strategy like any useful strategy, just gives a higher probability

    The chart you've presented as example of 1-2-3 and the 2B in a downtrend does not make sense. There was a clear new low there. Neither the 1-2-3 nor 2B applies.

    With all due respect the example you gave at 8:21 where you suggest buying is not a good place. If you strip away the rest of the criteria like you said (points 1 and 3) All you are essentially doing is buying at the lowest low (or highest high) and waiting for an inside bar. If this is all a person does he will end up getting PULVERISED by the market. In the example towards the end you gave of victor's trade he was selling at a DOUBLE TOP after an inside bar. This has a considerably better chance of working out than where you suggested you would buy... as you are buying in thin air.
    If using victors method and you are excluding points 1 and 3 then you really need to be placing trades at support or resistance levels or I can tell you right now that more often or not it will end it tears...

      u raised some valid points. the 2b rule strips away some of the criteria which allows him to potentially enter at an earlier time. however what this will do is lead to more false signals. in that case it depends on how the individual trades and invest. if he or she is willing to tolerate multiple small losses and more false signals but wants to potentially catch a bigger move, then this might suit the individual better. but if he or she wants to avoid more false signals, then they can go with the 123 rule.
