First ride with one tire and I can already tell you this killed some range.
Un Scientific with only one run, but I returned home with about the usual reserve that I return home with & instead of my 25 mile average I was at 20. If this get even worse with the rear tire installed then these will become my Winter Tires. I can't see myself doing more than 5 miles at a time when temps are below freezing for months. Then I'll have to get new Summer tires too.

The Shinko SR714 90/80-16 is a road tire I run front and rear, semi-hellish to get the valve stem in place but way easier to mount than 20" bicycle tires on my 4.25" rims. They have a flat profile, making zip tie technique futile (fjutile?). Great stability at 6lb each, that alone convinced me never to go back to bicycle tires - but I won't be riding fire roads or trails on them, saw Uncle F wipe out enough times for both of us. Just another option to put out there. Cheers

I am 1024 miles into my HyperScorpion (and loving it) - though my back tire has large patches of the "armor" showing. I have Amazoned a pair of the Shinko 244's and plan to go through this. Have never changed tires on anything other than my old 10 speed as a kid but I think it looks simple enough. The REAR wheel has me a little concerned because of the chain and the power and all of that so I think I will start on the front and make sure I don't make a total mess of things :)

You could have saved time and too much effort mounting the tire using the “zip tie method” as per several CZcams videos. I mounted front and rear Shinko 244’s today using tire liners, and Kenda “Tuff Tubes” pre installed in the tires, then zip ties to “pinch” the beads together all around the tire, then with a little soapy water for lube, slip the whole thing onto the rim, remove the zip ties and inflate! A 90lb girl could do it!

I just got a new Juiced scorpion 15 days ago and it's already out of comission because the battery and bike terminals have fried and need replacing. You seem to ride the hell out of yours so I was wondering if you've ever took a close look at them? They're supposed to be a shiny gold conductor free of any black carbon deposits.

I leave the charger plugged in and on all the time when I'm not working on it or riding. The JBHS stays in my garage on concrete floors and the charger brick is on the floor. So, when this Chine UH POS catches fire or melts it won't burn down my house. Good Luck with your Problem, FB Group "Modded Juiced Bikes" has some remedies for this problem.

Also it’s a pain to get the back tire back on the bike cause the rear is very heavy with the motor, rim, tire. Getting the chain on has alway been a pain even on normal bikes but with this bike and probably all e bikes you have to worry about the center locking washers on the rear axle.

IMHO no tires, with out studs are good on icy hard packed. But the depth of the Shinko tread is far better than any of the "bicycle tires"
The lugs on the 244's are thick enough that you could screw in small screws for studs www.homedepot.com/p/Grip-Rite-7-x-7-16-in-Bugle-Pan-Head-Framing-Screw-1-lb-Pack-716FPHS1/100126679

Fjuck Yes! But, I didn't do it for the flat prevention, the stock tires have a serious design flaw, as in not being able to lean it and its so unstable you can't let go of the handle bars for a split second. These I can pedal or Cruise Control @ 28Mph with no hands.
