Queen Mary is truly a one of a kind ship, had she been sunk in WWII, it would have crippled morale, led to the most devastating disaster in maritime history, surpassing the Wilhelm Gustloff's death toll by six times as many, and her wreck would be one of the golden prizes for shipwreck hunters. Titanic would have been left to rust and decay, undisturbed for decades on the bottom of the North Atlantic, before any attempt would be made to hunt her down. And I'm guessing since the survivors would have drifted in the sea long before the ship picked them up, it would be unknown exactly where the ship had gone down. Her wreck would be one of the toughest to ever find on the sea floor.
If QM did sank, it would be a devastating blow to Cunard, losing their biggest flagship would be a massive PR blow, I seriously doubt the line will survive to the present day. Also, could you upgrade your mic quality ? I have to turn up my volume to max so I can listen. And could you make a scenario if RMMV Oceanic III did get built ? Or what if SS Normandie didn't get burned ?
To be honest, queen mary looked Menacing in fact already menacing in her passenger variant, great video! if she did sink, Queen Elizabeth would probably still be around, if QE did sink Cunard would not be still around probably, unless they make RMS Queen Elizabeth the new flag ship and make like a Queen Victoria or smth. But yes it would be a devastating blow to the Atlantic Rout and Cunard ofc. If it did happen, the ocean liner historians would go crazy over the biggest ship in the world, the pride of cunard line sinking
Thank God that never happened. There was an AU I read a while ago where both Queen Mary AND Queen Elizabeth were lost (QE got torpedoed; she almost was irl). In that timeline, the world's big transatlantic companies came together on a standardized design based on the proposed but ofc never-built "Liner of the Future" in order to recover from losing virtually all the big liners in the war. Either something like that works out, or the Cunard Line would no longer be around today.
Maybe Paul Gallico would not survive this, meaning the Poseidon novel/story would not exist and therefore the Poseidon movies (from 1972 to 2006) would not exist either
@@icemonster360 oh. There's a 2006 Poseidon model that can be Capsized and it sinks by the stern. From what I've read, sliding electric hatches on the side in areas with clear escape routes for air, are what is needed for ships to sink. Just wanted to let you know in case you were planning on remastering the Titanic and Britannic. Also for fun, could you build Clive Palmer's Titanic 2 since it's not gonna happen for real?
I do also believe Queen Mary’s loss would’ve made US or UK lost to WW2 because it was a major factor that they were transporting troops to their destinations
No One ships loss no matter how important wouldn’t effect the war Germany was very likely to lose from the vastness of the Soviets to the wide empires of Britain and the USA Japan was even worse off
I imagine maybe in this universe RMS Queen Elizabeth could have taken Queen Mary’s spot in long beach
Doubt it
Rogue Wave like what happened to Poseidon in 1972
Yea, but unlike Poseidon, QM was hit by a rouge wave in irl, but she survived

Would Germany had Won the War If the Queen Mary sunk?
I don’t think so, it may have just delayed the end of the war
Almost wouldnt make a difference
Lmao no. Germany’s fate was already sealed when they attacked the Soviet Union.
Tno lore..
No sure the queen Mary did have an impact but nowhere near enough to cause a German loss
Maybe delays the wars ended by like a week though
Having been on the ship I’m glad this didn’t happen
Kind of liked one where she was actually sunk by a sub
Dang I could imagine rms Queen Mary sink just like and where is the Rms Queen Elizabeth
Hey icemonster can you make a video of what if white star had the bigger share of the Cunard white star?
Hmm youre right
Can we have a part two where you make a story ig rasing the wreck!
How did you get the ship to stay upsidedown?
I made the model static
