I switched from KontrolFreek to Skull&Co thumb stick grips. They are VERY grippy. Feels amazing. But aggressive thumbs will make them fall off. Big pro is they dont damage the thumbsticks if its not a perfect size, as KontrolFreek can, from my experience.
Ive started doing diy personally, its far cheaper, better looking and it teaches you soldering/desoldering. I have a bunch if spare controllers with stick drift wish me luck on desoldering them 😂.

I recently ordered a Hypr Xbox Controller. It took about 9 weeks to get. Excellent controller but definitely would NOT recommend the interchangeable thumbsticks. They have their own design and the actual grip on them is awful. I was able to get hall effect thumbsticks from them though which is a huge plus. Stick with regular OEM thumbsticks if you do order a HYPR controller though.

The problem with mapping the back buttons on a controller, is that it has to clone from another button. Instead of adding another button. For example a keyboard have way more buttons than a controller, would be great if we could map one of the back buttons to be like one of the keyboard buttons instead of cloning the "A" button or something.
Getting a 3rd party pro controller that has dedicated buttons that show up on REWASD is great for example I have the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro that has Hall effect triggers and joysticks, two way mouse click triggers with 4 paddles and 2 extra buttons under the face buttons and I mainly play apex legends and even if you rebound buttons within apex a death box menu will override your bind so you can’t crouch or swap weapon but changing the back buttons to keyboard binds allows me to jump crouch and swap weapon all while being in a death box
I cannot imagine a situation where a console player would be using this controller on a pc. So really only pc players are concerned about this and really what game has that many extra game mechanics that will require you to remap your rear buttons to a button not on the controller.

Some games are actually better on gamepad than pc, and yes I know this is hard to believe so let me give a few examples: Piloting games like seamot in subnautica. What else, oh yeah, the thumbsticks are analog :D. Instead of wasd making it either/or. It's actually really fun in many games if you want to walk instead of standing still or run.
i agree !!! with the lack of labeling, i like my buttons marked or etched as you said, when they re not the controller looks bootleg and cheap, plus there are times when having the labels help, when you are learning a game, especially when you have to map or configure your controller.

Got a Hex Advanced controler two months ago, the back buttons were scrunchy/sticky. The extra joysticks i bought with the wouldnt even fit on it. The smart triggers you had to press hard to click them. And the stick drift after two months is not only bad, it literally jolts you around aggressively. Would not recommend.
Checked out the site and their grips for the custom Dualsense looks an awful lot like the grips on Extremerates back shell. Seems to be another texture tho, can you confirm? Asking cause I had the extreme rate ones and didn’t like the grips over time. So far Scuf has the best feeling grips imo (and your opinion too as I’ve learned watching way too many of your controller reviews, can you watch too many tho? Naw, I take that back).
Most of these controller companies are using ExtremeRate parts to varying degrees (Hypr, Cinch, Battle Beaver, Gamnetics...) with Scuf and Aim Controllers using proprietary parts. Companies with back buttons buy in bulk from ExtremeRate for the shells and even use their digital trigger systems to varying degrees. They just drill holes in the back of the shell and hot glue tactile switches in place.

Yes they will. I had the interchangeable stick caps on the Hypr ps5 controller I reviewed. It’s that design that a lot of companies share , aim, hex, etc
are you saying OMNI's for xbox are the smallest kontrol freaks millimeter wise or are you saying xbox control freeks in general are the smallest? Trying to find one that fits snug to my power a advantage controller. The infernos (xbox version) dont fit snug enough and spin around the joystick when im moving a lot in COD MW2. You need to check out cinch gaming controllers i don’t own one I own a hexgaming ultra X but cinch gaming controllers look literally the same like the recon controller you reviewing I swear they are literally the same thing 😂😂
Can a company make an original controller instead of customizing stock controllers at some point. It's sad. Every controller since the introduction of Bluetooth has issues with the face buttons on angles. Bluetooth, Elite 2 and Series controllers all fall victim to this. This also translates to controllers like this, Scuf and so on.
i believe why companies make controllers using the base xbox and playstation controllers is because that's what game developers base it off. Thats why third party controllers feel weird playing games compared to stock xbox and playstation controllers.
Hi, i just recently stumbeled across your channel and you seem to know whar you are doing. I need help with my controller, im using a Stadia gamepad. The bloetooth- mode is up and running, It works perfectly everywhere except on my PC. I connected it via bloetooth, my pc doesent recognize my controller as one. By troubleshooting on my own, I already tried all those steps mentioned in your troubleshooting-video from 11 months ago and nothing worked. Wired works though. Is this a Windows-sided issue? Do I need some external software to fix that? Can I use some sneaky hidden settings in steam or windows? I already searched a lot, but couldnt find anything.
i think theres some kind of driver that google released after Stadia closed to allow it to work as a standard USB/wireless controller. Look into that, may be related to your issues.

I ordered a ps5 controller on march 23 and it has not shipped to this day. This is my first pro controller purchase so I don’t know if this is to be expected or not. Either way I emailed them 4 times over the past month to cancel my order to buy a scuf or the dual sense edge instead and they haven’t replied to any of them. But after watching this vid and seeing stick drift is covered in the warranty I think I’ll be good. Anyone else have experience with hypr or scuf?

@@G_ghost15 Hey man, I would advice to wait because scuf's back paddle design is not as good as back buttos. You can't use the Scuf paddles simultaneously and you would need to wait a few weeks too for it to arrive

Yes they do because the regular thumbstics are xobx x/s sticks. I upgraded to interchangeable which is their own design and it's not a good design

This is exactly what I do. I have the elite series 2, and using reWASD I bind my paddles to keyboard buttons

Connectivity issues aren’t covered in the warranty?, so if it’s losing sync to your Xbox then good luck getting them to replace it.

Why are my base Dualsense 5's that have hundreds of hours run at an error rate of 7-8%... My HYPR HE controller came with 18% lol.
