I no longer live in Hawaii, and just recently discovered this video. Brings back so many fond memories of the Hawaiian people and their culture. Really lifts me up to be taken back to those good times.

I first heard this song in a music store in New Braunfels, Tx in 2002 and have been in love with this man's music ever since! I'm still learning the language and love the culture. This lady dancing is stunning! She is so graceful and beautiful. It proves that anyone of any size can do hula! That's one of the things that I love about Hawai'ian culture.....you are not looked down on or derided if you are not the "perfect size"!

I love alternating this one with Josh Tatofi's cover. Different vocal styles that both put their unique touch on the song. This one doesn't have any vocal harmony which makes it simple yet enchanting in a different way.
