The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when i antagonized the drunk racoon hat man at the bar in valentine. I went to take a bath after and he walked in on me and tried to fight me. Then i got a bounty and the cops came in while i was taking a bath. So basically i was surrounded by 3 angry men while i was just trying to bathe.

I antagonized him at the saloon then left him i didnt even touch him yet or anything, then when im in the hotel and about to take a bath he just walks in and starts puching me, he kinda had the element of the suprise there so he knocked me out after i put up a hell of a fight, then i went to the saloon for my ultimate revenge and i beat the ever loving shit out of him and took his lil racoon hat
My first encounter with that guy, I knocked him out in the saloon cause I wanted his hat. Days later I was dropping off a bounty in the Sheriff's office and the same guy burst in and started fighting with me right in front of the sheriff's desk

Hey I've got a great tip. If you are tired of forgetting your weapons on the horse because arthur automatically stows his weapons on the horse while riding, then all you have to do is equip your lasso, knife, or binoculars and now your weapons would stay on your back rather than with your horse because your hands are occupied.
You can also go to any gunsmith and select 2 pistols and 2 rifles to "equip" as your default load out for when you get off your horse every time. Just go to customize gun screen and press X or square to equip the weapons u want to always have on when you get off your horse.
Fun fact tapping x in sync with Arthur's movement makes you have unlimited stamina and run faster Same applies to horses btw and it makes them slightly calmer

Well I hogtied him and thought I wonder if i can turn him in to the sheriff. well you can and i got seven dollars for it woot. Also you not only can set your horse speed before you enter cinematic mode but while in it you can hit x or r2 to change it as well. Also if you do get struck by lighting and you are driving a carriage at max speed and manage to go 88mph you will travel through time to the year 1885.

Was gonna say this. The smoke 100% draws in bounty hunters, I can't even count how many times I've woken up to a bunch of dogs in my camp then been chased down by a group of bounty hunters. When you're being tracked by them you can also tell because the compass shows a red directional marker, and the game music will change very slightly. Shooting while being tracked also shows a sound circle on the compass and will obviously bring the bounty hunters to where you fired, which can allow you to get crafty with the .22 and lure them to places.
Anyone else get the murfree brood random encounter while trying to camp? Where they threaten you with a gun but decide to let you live. Well If your quick enough getting up you can kill the two of them while theyre getting on their horses and arthur will yell something like "how bout i camp whereever i damn well please?!?"

I have never been struck by lightning. But I was 20 feet away on my horse when I saw lightning strike a telegraph or power pole whatever it is, next to the rail road tracks. It was either at Riggs or Emerald Station. I forget which. But it was shockingly large out loud. And done really cool. Either way it was one of those 2 stations that are out by themselves with no city around. Who knows. Maybe soon I will get lucky enough to actually get struck by lightning myself sometime soon?? Fingers crossed!! Hahaha
3 things: 1. You can actually play the whole game in cinematic view and you can control the camera angle. 2. If you wear the viking helmet in storms with thunder and lightning you are more likely to get hit. And 3. NPC’s will make fun of you if you wear certain hats in the game. I was wearing the 3 point pirate hat and everyone kept asking me if i was trying to make people laugh or if i was feeling ok. Telling me i look ridiculous and asking me what i was wearing…I literally started getting self conscious about it! 😂

I've beat the game twice and had it since launch only today did I have lightning strike right next to me. It's super rare and didnt kill me just made my screen go white for a second was pretty insane though!
Here's one for you, did you know that a rifle will keep the chamber open until u manually cycle it? Press both triggers and hold. The round will eject the next fire cycle and the chamber will stay open if you hold the right trigger again. Works on shotguns and other weapons too. Looks really cool in first person.
first time i played red dead 2 i had no clue you could fast travel, so i rode my horse literally everywhere i had to go, it was so tedious, but it makes the game so much cooler
No Lightning, but I have been Charged at by a number of different animals - Rams, Elk, Bulls, even a buck. They just bowl right through you ... on purpose.
I was looking through my binoculars trying to track animals when a damn ram head butted me in the ass, sending Arthur rolling down a 20’ cliff. I was kind of pissed until he just let out a casual “dammit” while getting up, which made me laugh. I tried to scramble back up in time to kill the thing but he escaped. Keep an eye on those rams, they’re angry little bastards. 🐑
Bad Kitty Kitty if you use the sawed-off really close it'll blow off peoples heads, and I have seen only portions of a head be blown off not just the whole thing also, you can also see the bone when you blow peoples legs off at the knee

Most of this stuff I already knew. Bonus though, did you know while standing still dismounted that you can draw on people? All you do is slowly press R2 while unarmed.
A little horse tip for ya: When your galloping full speed your horses stamina will drain obviously. If you keep clicking the left stick, which encourages your horse (better at higher bond levels), your horse’s stamina will refill slightly enabling you to gallop longer distances

You know if you press Y/Triangle next to your horse you can actually ride it? This will save you a lot of time because riding is actually much faster than walking in this game. Incredible little detail by rockstar. Thought I’d share it with you guys
I have a great tip. It sucks having to find all the outfits. Right? Some shops have certain ones and having to go everywhere to find them can get old. Just use the companion app or got to social club site and you can see every shop item in the game. Then you can even buy something right from the app and it’ll be sent to you directly in game. By doing this they were all types of clothes that I didn’t know I can get. Also it’s the way I discovered you can have two of the same type of weapons. Like right now to Schofields.

I was looking to buy Arthur some clothing in Valentine.Most of the clothing at the one general store was ugly as sin.The hat selection was terrible too.I ended up just getting him some light brown leather chaps and some fingerless black gloves.
You don't have to lasso bodies from the driver seat of wagons, you can tap ∆ or Y to get on, and just pull your movement stick away from the wagon and he'll drag the body off, then jump back down.
The lasso is also really great to hide bodies. Just killed someone on the road? Without even getting off your horse you can lasso the corpse drag it into the woods/brush release the body then loot it out of site from witnesses.
I've been about a hundred feet from a lightning bolt just never thought it could actually hit you. Scared the hell out of me though because I was on my horse thinking if that hit me my horse would die.
I've never been struck but the game let's you know you are about to be struck by lightning. If you're in the saddle and have a metal rifle out. Your controller vibrates gently like a tingle and you kind of see static forming around your rifle, stirrups and any other exposed metal. Just high tail it and try to get cover.
I was outside Valentine and maybe it was strawberry whichever one's got the bridge was the murderer thing underneath it and as I was walking back to my horse he got struck by lightning
I was hunting the other day, and I was looking forever for a 3* elk. I kept finding 1* or 2*, and the 3* ones were nowhere to be found. So eventually, I finally found one, and I started to line up the shot, and out of nowhere, that damn elk got roasted by a lightning strike... Pissed me off, because it ruined my perfect elk haul (that took FOREVER to finally locate), and it took me a minute to even realize what, exactly, had just happened, as it wasn’t even really storming when it happened. It had just started barely raining when it struck, and then the storm started kicking in right afterwards. It was pretty awesome- but I was irritated at the time.
I'm a new rd player and I discovered that if you go to a place on the map that has a stable and you left your horse at say the main camp you can just manage your horses switch the saddles to your other horse and back to your main one and it teleports to that stable

Be careful about using a wagon for transporting stuff, they have a habit of despawning if you get too far away. A tip that I havent seen anywhere is that you can use a lasso on perfect quality animals and then kill them with your knife when you get to them. It's a good strategy if you're having trouble with damaging pelts.

A person can also speed the horse up or slow it down while in cinematic mode by pressing the appropriate buttons you normally would outside of cinematic mode.
Did you know that if you kill a bigger animal like a deer in the water you can use your lasso to pull them to the side to skin them or put them on your horse

Here's one for you, did you know that a rifle will keep the chamber open until u manually cycle it? Press both triggers and hold. The round will eject the next fire cycle and the chamber will stay open if you hold the right trigger again. Works on shotguns and other weapons too. Looks really cool in first person.
first time i played red dead 2 i had no clue you could fast travel, so i rode my horse literally everywhere i had to go, it was so tedious, but it makes the game so much cooler
No Lightning, but I have been Charged at by a number of different animals - Rams, Elk, Bulls, even a buck. They just bowl right through you ... on purpose.
I killed a doe elk and when I was skinning it a bull elk came and attacked me!!!
I was looking through my binoculars trying to track animals when a damn ram head butted me in the ass, sending Arthur rolling down a 20’ cliff. I was kind of pissed until he just let out a casual “dammit” while getting up, which made me laugh. I tried to scramble back up in time to kill the thing but he escaped.
Keep an eye on those rams, they’re angry little bastards. 🐑
The gore is fantastic, like I shot a guy in the head with a shotgun and half his head was gone plus I shot him in the forearm and his arm flew off

Bad Kitty Kitty if you use the sawed-off really close it'll blow off peoples heads, and I have seen only portions of a head be blown off not just the whole thing also, you can also see the bone when you blow peoples legs off at the knee

Most of this stuff I already knew. Bonus though, did you know while standing still dismounted that you can draw on people? All you do is slowly press R2 while unarmed.
A little horse tip for ya: When your galloping full speed your horses stamina will drain obviously. If you keep clicking the left stick, which encourages your horse (better at higher bond levels), your horse’s stamina will refill slightly enabling you to gallop longer distances

8:37 "You can sell wagons to fences." Yeah, no shit, there's an entire mission early in the game that has you do exactly that to unlock the ability to sell wagons to the fence in Emerald Ranch.
Another tip, use the lasso when robbing trains to get double the amount of cash when you originally rob them first. Just a little something I found.

I haven’t been struck by lightning but whilst hunting, a tree less than a foot away got struck. The tree that was struck was destroyed and no longer was there.

I have a great tip. It sucks having to find all the outfits. Right? Some shops have certain ones and having to go everywhere to find them can get old. Just use the companion app or got to social club site and you can see every shop item in the game. Then you can even buy something right from the app and it’ll be sent to you directly in game. By doing this they were all types of clothes that I didn’t know I can get. Also it’s the way I discovered you can have two of the same type of weapons. Like right now to Schofields.

You don't have to lasso bodies from the driver seat of wagons, you can tap ∆ or Y to get on, and just pull your movement stick away from the wagon and he'll drag the body off, then jump back down.
You don't even have to fully get in the wagon, as soon as he pulls the body off, pull back on the left thumb stick and Arthur will just jump off

The lasso is also really great to hide bodies. Just killed someone on the road? Without even getting off your horse you can lasso the corpse drag it into the woods/brush release the body then loot it out of site from witnesses.
I've been about a hundred feet from a lightning bolt just never thought it could actually hit you. Scared the hell out of me though because I was on my horse thinking if that hit me my horse would die.

I've never been struck but the game let's you know you are about to be struck by lightning. If you're in the saddle and have a metal rifle out. Your controller vibrates gently like a tingle and you kind of see static forming around your rifle, stirrups and any other exposed metal. Just high tail it and try to get cover.

I was hunting the other day, and I was looking forever for a 3* elk. I kept finding 1* or 2*, and the 3* ones were nowhere to be found. So eventually, I finally found one, and I started to line up the shot, and out of nowhere, that damn elk got roasted by a lightning strike... Pissed me off, because it ruined my perfect elk haul (that took FOREVER to finally locate), and it took me a minute to even realize what, exactly, had just happened, as it wasn’t even really storming when it happened. It had just started barely raining when it struck, and then the storm started kicking in right afterwards. It was pretty awesome- but I was irritated at the time.

I'm a new rd player and I discovered that if you go to a place on the map that has a stable and you left your horse at say the main camp you can just manage your horses switch the saddles to your other horse and back to your main one and it teleports to that stable

Be careful about using a wagon for transporting stuff, they have a habit of despawning if you get too far away.
A tip that I havent seen anywhere is that you can use a lasso on perfect quality animals and then kill them with your knife when you get to them. It's a good strategy if you're having trouble with damaging pelts.
The lasso doesn't go further if you hold it in, it just does a different animation.
He was also really close to the npc that he was using the lasso on while saying how far away you can be lol

A person can also speed the horse up or slow it down while in cinematic mode by pressing the appropriate buttons you normally would outside of cinematic mode.
