Got rid of all the junk keyboards I had after buying my wooting, they seem to stay one step ahead.
can you tell me what is it about? I am out of the loop. I have mechanical 75%, its really really good, I do not know what could be better? in terms of performance
@@Abrii101 Hall effect keyboards allow you to set arbitrary actuation points and let you use features like rapid trigger for better performance in games.
@@Bovineicideehh is it really needed? I’m ascendant 2 in Valorant using a $15 membrane keyboard that I’ve had for years, my aim is just bad
Junk keyboards lol they're not junk. Yes, the hall effect switches are good, but it isn't a miracle keyboard and doesn't give that big of a competitive edge.
@@TechGuy42ilm I was just about to respond to @bovineicide... I really don't really see if rapid trigger is that much needed
Yo awesome vid! What keycaps do you have on the DrunkDeer 75? Is it a set or did you mix and match?
Nice round up techne! Is it just me or is the maya still the best all around? I have a somewhat older ducky SF and don’t plan on switching it out any time soon.
Man the maya is sick a bang for your buck. I’ve just moved back to 75% and TKL
Legendary video as always. If that NuPhy board would have been around when I first started getting into boards that would have been a lot less of a headache when learning how to do thing. Got to give a shout out to my main board, the Corsair K65 Plus Wireless!!!!! Best out of the box keyboard I have layed my hands on.
Man K65 plus is so good. Corsair has some competition against Corsair for future releases, 😂
I like watching these keyboards videos to see if my 2020 apex pro tkl was still a good buy and it still holds up really well imo
Hey, I wanna buy a keyboard but I don't know what should I buy I'm pro player I play ,valorant, cod like these games should I buy razer blackwidow v4 75% or asus rog azoth 75%? Or are they all outdated and there are better ones?
Can you please do a review on the new hyper x alloy rise!!
Thanks, just educating ones self about decent pc accessories in all the price ranges. Top content, sir.
Drunkdeer also released the A75 Pro supposed to fix some issues they had. I ordered mine and will receive tomorrow.
Is it worth an upgrade?
@@TheTechne It's an upgrade only for the ones who bought the basic version of the A75 as there were a lot of complaints of bending and build quality. They also added more padding so it might sound and feel even better now. It's also currently cheaper than the basic A75.
I got the asus one and it's amazing. I went from DROP ALT to NuPhy Halo 75 and now this... and I think it's an upgrade in sound, type comfort but not customizable. The price and the OMNI Receiver were the selling point for me because you can pair multi devices to a single dongle. The battery life is great and also this slick gesture bar on the side is something useful (sometimes). Looks cool on the desk and I'm really happy with it.
Absolutely in love with the new version of the asus rog azoth with their snow linear switches. Perfect keyboard. Was going to get a wooting 80 but just to happy with this azoth
I got the Asus a few weeks ago and have not even considered taking it off my desk. It’s been amazing
I'm very close to getting this. Do the ABS caps bother you? I really don't want to spend so much to build a Wooting the way I want to. I'm not convinced HE/Rapid Trigger is a must have.
@@refragged honestly they don’t bother me at all. They feel ok to me and it does really look good on the desk all lit up. Response in game has been fantastic
@@BigLouNY Thanks! I ended up getting it today as I read your comment while I was already inside of my local Microcenter lol. This board is fantastic. The caps are definitely coated with something and feel great.
I'm using HyperX Origins 60. I tried differnt keyboards but I always come back to origins 60. I like hyperx red switches.
You should do a review on the Cidoo V75. You would love it!
Will check it out for sure, thanks 👍
Did the razer deathstalker and the blackwidow 75% fall out of favor for you?
I love them both for sure. Hate the keycaps on the Deathstalker, no idea why I stopped using the 75% that thing is great
@@TheTechneonce you remove any keycaps the blackwidow 75% will start bugging out double type and missing keystrokes. The keyboard is a total failure read the Razer forums
The drunk deer is pretty nice. Sounds and feels nice with the Aluminum case that they sell seprately. The software works fine, but they need to iron out some kinks that hopefully comes with time. I recently purchased a wooting 60he+ now that its in stock. I imagine the software is leagues better but will compare build qualities.
I just can’t do 60%
not trying to sound like an elistist but since I got my hands on the Q1 HE, I havent wanted to ever go back to mechanical solely because of function, durability, and performance, so I have no idea why ducky isnt charging 100 for that kb but i mean the product is ok, just not something I would consider.
So about 18 months ago I feel head deep into the custom hobby and have spent way too much money. I will agree the K65 Plus wireless is a nice board, I have WS Heavy Tactiles in mine and now it thunks more than thocks but it's a nice board and works with iCue. As someone who has multiple gaming PCs running Corsair AiOs and fans for my sons and I that is a nice touch.
However I hope you do a build out on that NuPhy GEM80. I have the same colorway, switches caps etc... and that board has SOOOOO many options. Those beans are different density for different flexes, as are the different mounts. The caps will come with a NuPhy Ghost bar as well which will impress you I'm sure. While I'm more of a cherry profile guy the profile on the caps is easy to get use to as well. I did have to go with heavier swtiches but the NuPhy ones are super smooth and definitely loud/clacky if that is the sound you want. Can't wait to see more of what you think of it! Great summary of boards here in 2024 so far for people not in the hobby, should definitely give people some boards to consider!
Those volume knobs irk me 😂
lol, man I love them and need them
My $30 koorui sounds better than every corsair except the k65 plus wireless. But the 65plus has no shine thru caps, limited customization without software turned on that causes stuttering lol
DrunkDeer 75 is actually pretty good, but ATK 68 is also pretty nice
I told myself I’m set already. I have a black IBM Model M for work (general use) and a topre tkl for long coding sessions, and at home I have a ducky llama for gaming, and my mammoth75 for coding. Not buying anything new.
Surprised that you didn’t go over the Razer Huntsman V3 PRO
Nice Video
Are you not using the blackwidow v4 anymore?
No idea why, I loved that thing. Probably just got wrapped up testing so many others.
Now wanna bust it back out 😂
Things about Keyboards? Well they figured out they can cut a good 20% of it off or so and people will pay the same price.
I would just get a Wooting HE (60/80) and get it over with. Many compromises and caveats with other HE keyboards that just use off-the-shelves MCUs and PCBs without much RnD and testing (e.g. higher latency, inconsistent rapid trigger, firmware issues)
If you want a wireless HE, then SteelSeries Apex is the only viable one out there with decent low latency.
arbiter polar 65 goated
IDK, but non wooting hall effect keyboards are kind of ewaste.
No feature parity with wooting, and you can't replace the switches when they fail. KS37 keyboards also have a decent chance to brick because of power issues, so there's that.
Razer at least matches the wooting in terms of features, but the huntsman keyboards are so unpleasant to use unless you take the time to lube them.
edit: Lamzu, EGG, and Arbiter literally use a drop shipped PCB of aliexpress lol
Um, no KeyChron Q series? Damn
Thumbs up for the funny thumbnail
Wooting is God... no one can touch them. ABSOLUTELY TOP TIER KEYBOARDS
I like summary videos, after I've fallen behind with reviews just watch one of these and I'm good
Damn, all those tats, I didn't know Techne just got out of prison.
Logitech is basically a dead man walking at this point imo.
It’s sad to see.
Custom Keyboards are where it's at. Build yer own, and you'll start seeing all the flaws in big label brands. You don't have to worry about the switches, cause you pick your own. Key caps? You guess it, pick your own. You can do up the perfect keyboard for you. It is more expensive, but it is getting more affordable. Most importantly you won't have to deal with companies who don't honor, and have never honored their warranties, like Corsair for example.
This is a weird list of keyboards to make a video about. What was the criteria for selection? And when did you become such a fan of rapid trigger?
I don’t hate rapid trigger/HE, or need them. It’s just so many have them these days. That was my main goal of this video, but I then got focused on more boards, lol. So just made it a, mash up.
Ngl you need to do some research on keyboards you called the switch holes the gaskets 😂😂 The Nuphy by far the best of them all, still not something I would buy but all the others are trash 😂
No the nuphy has plate slots for flex, that wasn’t the switch holes, lol.
I’m by no means a keyboard guru but Shesh, 🤦♂️
I dont understand why we suddenly went back in time with these old 80s looking boards. Yeah i get the switches are good and all that but my god they look boring. Even worse is so many keyboard manufacturers started copying that simplistic design making the entire market look boring imo. I miss the early 00s with all the innovation keyboards coming out at the time. That said, if youre into it i understand the current gens are amazing for you.
Maybe cos people like them and thats what custom keyboard is about.
I go for a functional keyboard. But I get what you mean
