Nah, it's way easier to move the entire population to a new planet, terraform it and find a way to provide food, water, housing and oxygen for the billion people that arrived without any aerospace training.

What about the gravity? If the gravity is the same, then Earth would get extremely dense. If Mars is in Earth's roche limit, the smaller planet would rip apart bigger planet XD.

My math might be wrong but so many things are contradicting other things here. For example the "marathon perimeter" and "weight 1000x less". Is the earth 1000x tinier? Is it 100x lighter?

Well according to newtons laws of gravitation, if it were 1000 times smaller and 1000 times less massive then the gravity would actually be the same because the distance is 1000 times less.
