New American Girl Flagship Store in LA, September 2023

- American Girl is open at its new location in Century City Westfield Mall on Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles! I happened to be in town to see Barbie things going on in the area this weekend and was able to go to the soft opening of the store on Friday. I returned again on Sunday. The first half of the video is what I filmed on Friday and the rest is from Sunday. I hope that you enjoy a look at the store from 2 different visits. I had a lot of fun and will have an opening video of what I bought later this week. I have some photos of some different areas of the store on my Instagram account called sew4dolls.
I am an adult doll collector. Growing up and having a family has not changed my love for dolls! My videos are meant for other adults that enjoy dolls too.

Thanks for watching! I thought that same thing about the glass. I wanted to take a photo of my AG doll in a display and had to search for a display without glass to get the photo.

Thank you for watching. I am happy to help. It can be hard because I thought that I had recorded a few spots and then saw that I only took photos of those places. I am not the only one in the store so I try to stop filming people get in the way.

The dollhouse display was the best. The reading room with the Samantha book as a couch was inspired. I skipped a bit at the end as you repeated some if the same areas, but I didn’t see if you got the wall of Sydney’s photographs in the video?
I decided to make one video and separate it into Friday night and then Sunday morning. I recorded some of the same things on both visits. I liked both enough to keep in the video. Sydney's photos are displayed in the salon. I missed videoing the photo wall on Friday night. I took photos though and have that on my Instagram. I didn't record it Friday night because the manager came over to that area to talk with someone. When I went back on Sunday, there were a bunch of staff in there getting directions on things so I didn't feel comfortable recording them for the video. It isn't really an inviting area for shopping. I don't think many people will go to it unless they are getting their child's hair done. The photos are on the backside of the historical wall. Maybe when the salon is closed people will go to that area of the store.

I can now why AG is going to be releasing GOTY 2024 on October 7th cause kavi isn't selling anymore. And they need the big boom in sales for the final quarter of the year with the holiday season
AG is doing all that they can to get a lot of sales. I don't plan to buy the GOTY until 2024.
I thought the grand opening was this coming Saturday?
The grand opening is this Saturday coming up. Many times stores will have a soft opening that is not advertised before they officially have the grand opening that is advertised to the public. I went to the soft opening and grand opening both when American Girl opened the San Francisco store. I have videos from those events too on my channel.
Look but don’t touch doll store
It is sad that this new store has changed so much from the original LA store.
