The B-52 doesn't have afterburners...
This is NOT from Water Injection. The J57s on the G models wete pure Turbojets and utilized water injection. The H models changed the engines to low bypass Turbo Fans TF33s and they DO NOT use water Injection.
The "smoke" is just uncombusted fuel as the TF33 at full power is very inefficient.
Soon to be the new Rolls Royce F130s
Who edits these things? They have amazing footage but bad info.
Upstate New York is in the building
They got the landing gear wrong too. “Two main gear struts under the wings and one nose gear strut.” Have they ever seen a B-52?
Trying to figure where you see a single nose gear.
No
This video has LOTS of errors: bombload is Not 70000 tons.
Awesome beast of an aircraft (the B52), but I hope to never see one flying overhead. Bad things going on wherever these are.
Ospreys are awesome too! Is it a helicopter? Is it a plane? Yes. Never knew that many troops could fit in one though. I thought maybe 10 - 12 max.
That HEXA drone thing looks like something from Terminator.
70000 tons of ammunitions lol is this video AI generated
A new version of the B-52 needs to be built with all the latest technology and to hold a bigger payload. This bomber could release cruise missiles from a distance and still do everything it does today but more.
So you play music over top of engine start?
Turn off the dang music during takeoff. What a winch
The writer takes stock footage and then just makes shit up for a living.
Wow! Y’all Rock!
Full afterburners? Who writes this trash!
b52 doesnt have afterburners
Maximum takeoff weight for B-52 is around 220 tons, so... 70000 tons of munitions is a bit too much.
Right... but it will burn when it hits the ground !
Possibly interesting statistic: what is the ratio of combat forces to logistical/support forces in the U.S. military? (necessary for the global impact reach that the U.S. has mastered.
fwiw, Eisenhower was previously a logistics kinda guy
🦅🇺🇲
It's already been pointed out here- The B-52's engines are not equipped with afterburners. As others have already said also- there are other factual errors in this article. Jeez, go into some other line of work please. You are no good at writing.
Still those smoky engines....!!!!
I believe the only large bomber that has afterburners is the F- 111
The B-1
B-1 also.
It's 70,000 lbs not tons that about the displacement of ot a Iowa class battleship. I know the capability of the 52 I worked on them from 82-93 so get your facts straight before you make a video
I'm afraid to even watch
