My boyfriend kept putting off going to the dr about his nose. He was congested in one nostril for over a year, it would clear with decongestants and then return later. He put it off for over a year until I finally forced him to go when the decongestants wouldn't work anymore. It was stage 3 cancer. He had to have surgery where they cut into his brain wall causing a brain fluid leak that needed to be patched with a piece of cow heart. Thankfully he is still with us and just recently finished radiation but now he has no sense of smell or taste for probably the rest of his life. This could have been avoided had he just gotten it checked when I asked him a year prior. Putting off going to the Dr is one of the worst things you can do for your health. Please don't advertise it. Listen Laura I worry that you don’t go to the doctor. You just never know. The mom in me is coming out but also I found out I had a spinal tumor in 2020 (I’m good now) but I waited a very long time before I went to the doctor. It could’ve been really bad if I waited longer.
My best friend is currently going through a very similar situation but instead of spinal tumour it’s Hodgkin’s lymphoma

Laura I know you were giving your self advice but I need but I needed to hear your words tonight on staying ambitious. I am currently trying to get a captain position at work and I am chasing it hard! I have been setting up one on ones with other leaders in the company to ask them questions about how they did it. However today when getting ready for a meeting I really started to get in my head about it because others I am competing with are not doing the same so I a thought am I doing too much am I coming off too strong. Hear you was exactly what I needed others may not have the drive I do but that just means I have a better chance of getting what I want.

I fully got Laura on the doctors bit. I've gone to one too many that talk DOWN to me and make me wonder "Is your own doctor like this with you?" So nope. No doctors for me unless it's something like a broken bone, sudden inability to move, inability to see -- a list of things -- I will not go anywhere near a doctor. And I can't even get an appointment right away, it'd have to be an emergency room visit.

I relate so much to Laura’s upbringing. I was also thrown into figuring my shit out, and I’m so proud of myself for how I’ve succeeded thus far. And sometimes I feel like I don’t know how to comfort my friends who’ve been padded in life. I feel like I cannot relate to their fears, and I try my best to empathize. But it can be hard. It’s refreshing to know I’m not alone. ❤

Girl I moved to Utah for college and the Mormon polygamy deff still exists here. They full on exist and practice polygamy publicly (the women wear the attire, don’t talk to people in public, have multiple wives ALL OF IT) it can be quite shocking if you’re not used to seeing it

I love when Laura talks about her relationship with Erin because it is so similar to the relationship that I have with my mom. My mom is a workaholic and I have adhd and depression which means our lives and productivity levels are VERY different lol.
