My brothers and I have played AoE II so much we came up with a game to make it harder. We roll a D10 and this gives us different limitations like not having any buildings touch, only one mining/lumber camp at a time, can't go to the next age without researching EVERYTHING available to you, stuff like that. keeps it fresh!

@@prophetofbeans6781that’s interesting! My brother and I play at oasis with a 90 minutes treaty starting in feudal. NPC ally for trade and we wall off each side, 500 pop limit and have a huge war. Usually last 4hrs +

@@u2bear377 If you want to be very pedantic, "shooting" might be better. However, since the age of gunpowder, "fire" and "shoot" have become synonyms in the sense of "hurling projectiles at some target", so it's fine in the modern age - it's less anachronistic than Romans fighting Aztects, and that's fine. Plus, you can always research chemistry and claim it's about setting fire to the projectile.
@@daanwilmer The same pedantism may be found in Russian where the common word for firearm action is "cтрелять" ('strelyat', lit. "shoot an arrow"; "arrow" being "cтрела", 'strela'), but a formal term is "веcти огонь" (lit. "conduct fire").
But "веcти огонь" is not correct for shooting an arrow, even if the arrow is ablaze.
