I switched from a 30 disc bag to a 12 disc bag of discs I have never used and it was very eye-opening. I had major slots to fill and a lot of redundancy. I learned I could manipulate a disc to do what I used 4-5 discs to do and had better control of my shots as a result. While there are times I may need 20 discs on a course due to the abundance of different tee shots, I can perform well on any fairway I've ever played with this bag. Throwing understable discs was new to me and gave me a new perspective of "touch shots" and angle control. I no longer needed forehands and had better lines with anny BHs using those understable discs. A very fun challenge. Thanks for the idea! If anyone is looking for another challenge, we've done the "Philo challenge" essentially using just 5 unique molds. For example, 3 Aviars, 4 Rocs, 3 Teebirds, 3 Firebirds, 4 Destroyers. It is surprising how well you can throw (in terms of release and consistency) when the hand feel is consistent.
I haven’t watched this whole video yet, but I actually found building an entire new bag helped me a lot, it gave me more motivation to practice, it gave me a new look on certain discs, it let me retry molds that I thought I didn’t like, and it helped me a lot.
I used to have a constant rotating door that was the zipper of my bag. My bag was never the same day to day or even round to round; but for the past few months my bag has remained rly consistent. You’ve inspired me to build a second bag entirely to go back to my roots and have fun and play with plastic again! Thanks Trev!

After seeing whats wrong with the timing in my form, I went to see what the pros were doing that I wasn’t. I plant way before I pull through and it takes a lot of potential out of my throws. You do it perfectly and the form is looking better and more consistent than ever. That signed stalker has my name all over it
Nice to see you throw the passion I have one and love it. Really enjoy hearing you talk about your shots. The solo content has been great. I’ve watched foundation since Covid but finally started playing 2 months ago and have been hooked playing 1-2 rounds a day since. Sometimes you say little tips you may think aren’t important but for me who’s new really get help from it.
I keep a 10 disc bag in my work truck that I throw on lunch breaks if I’m near a course or field. That bag rotates a lot of discs I don’t ever throw in my main bag. Most holes I’m like, “ I don’t gave a disc for this hole”. Good vid. That MD4 is sick.

We get more into your head Trevor, I'm a huge fan of 500 plastic, and I'd love to try out that M4 with the Rosak stamp. Great idea to do for discgolf! Combine this with playing like a three man best disc and you get a great practise for your form by throwing 3 times for each shot and you get ample practise for learning each new disc! Or combine it with throwing from all the different teepads to all available baskets(if available)! These are my favorite trainingmethods and works as great practise for me when playing golf! (just make sure the course is not super busy!!)
I love this concept and did this over the winter. I learned/used an all base plastic bag for about 3 months, even the drivers. It was a cool experience and would totally recommend it to people. It forced me to use a bit more touch which has helped my game a lot.

I have definitely done this exercise to freshen up my main bag, also I have a snow round bag so I don't lose my favorite. I've been trying to lock down a good straight fairway and that Passion might be something to try. Great video 👍
I really like the idea of this video and the format of talking in between holes. I've tried a similar exercise when i go on vacation and don't have room for a full bag. Just grab a few discs from the shelf, and it's okay if they don't make it back home. Wouldn't mind trying out that PA4.
I would love to try out the Uli Nuke OS Z-lite and/or the Pual Macbeth crystal stalker. This video is such a great idea I think I would really help change up your game.
I'm very much just a recreational player and even tho I love this game I've been struggling with motivation to go out and play. We have long off seasons here in northern Sweden so this winter I actually started selling most of the discs I've been adding to the bag since I started in 2010. I've never been more hyped to go out and throw niw that I've been collecting other discs than innova that made up like 95% of my bag. Going for mostly mvp/axiom to try the gyro thing while also dipping my toes in other brands. Not saying you have to take my route and sell discs but the concept have worked wonders for my motivation at least. Great video, Trevor!
That Champ Viper looks like it would be a great longer forehand approach disc and could EASILY see myself using that guy on the regular.. Love the old school vibes it gives too! I’d happily represent foundation nation throwing that!!!! I have an alternate bag the I call my “alternate universe bag” that has all the molds that were close but didn’t quite make the bag for one reason or another.. I take it from time to time for the same reason you made this video! Sometimes you don’t know you need something new till you try it. Love the channel!! Keep it up!
id love to try the solstice! the one big thing that was a positive from being a lone star flunkee last year was learning a new bag really helped me develop as a player. going back to an open bag has been fun, I love slapping an impromptu bag together and having a fun round

Legit just did this last week because I was sick of my current bag. Then I shot the best round I’ve ever played the very next day. Recently, I threw my super beat in force and it hit a metal building and put a 2 inch gash in it. I bought some Zeus’ and fell in love with them. Added 20-30 feet without throwing as hard. Every round I play I try to rotate a disc into a shot to see how it goes and if it should replace what was there. I love this idea.

Gotta say, that putter seems your speed. I'd personally love to try out any of the Clash discs, none of my local stores carry them... or the Viper. A DX viper was the first disk I ever bought, ages ago, long before getting back into the game during Covid.

I’m looking for a zone replacement - had two throwers (one beat-in get freaky and a uli big Z) that I had Brodie and Uli sign at Ledgestone that I’m trying to shelve. Would love to have any of the mids you think would be a decent replacement for that! Love flicking the zone on approaches.

During the Winter I would bench my bag and go all gyro so I wouldn't break or lose any of my staples. It really made me excited to use my bag again in the Spring.

I’ve adopted a devilhawk for 3 speed league and it’s been great. I throw a ton of zones and zone os, and it fills that spot really well. I find it to be right in between those 2 in stability. Thumb track and plastic feel great

I reworked my whole bag over the winter. Now that im back to playing im figuring out whats gonna stick and what im missing. Its really fun. I would choose the Stalker or the Lotus for the giveaway.

I had a mostly orange bag but eventually I wanted to try a blue bag so I made one as well with mostly different molds. Now I have combined the two and have discs from both bags. Great way to try out different molds and break out of a slump. I love flat discs so that cookie is calling my name :D
Not really considering pretty much all the disc he used were old and he was suggesting you use what you have not try and buy an entire new bag. But as member of foundation it could come off a giving a reason to buy new discs i suppose.
Not really most of use have hundreds of discs just from playing in tournaments over the years switching up every 3 months or so is something I do often but yes it does help me become an over better player

Great idea to switch things up and get a fresh look at the same courses. I'd like something bright and colorful, otherwise I can't see it on the ground. (colorblind and old man problems).
My EDC dg bag, aka the cheat code, is full of Z-Lite plastic & a few lightweight overstable approach discs. So much fun & surprisingly useful flights, even in mild-moderate wind.
I never bring my real bag to my local course bc it lost its luster there, so I have been doing this exact thing! Always fun to find a new diamond on the shelf!

Trevor, when throwing discs could you put up the flight numbers? For us newer players it helps categorize discs better. I know y’all proved numbers aren’t always true to print but it still gives a better visualization on flight pattern when your talking about anhyzer vs hyzer. 😎
As an engineer I'm impelled to spreadsheet everything including my discs. The spreadsheet has all the relevant data for each disc including color, plastic, weights and flight numbers. It's very handy to use Excel to evaluate my 80-100 disc collection and remind me what options I've got for each bag slot instead of digging through my closet and looking through stacks and boxes of discs. It also identifies holes in my bag or collection where new discs could be added. Who doesn't need a pie chart showing their distribution of putters, mids, FD's and DD's?

I’m kind of new to disc golf and struggling to find the extra cash to cust on some more plastic. That being said, I haven’t thrown anything in that bag. I think I’d like to try that md2 due to my lack of arm speed at the moment. Love the solo content, congrats on the family addition 🙏
The millennium solstice looks like it might work for my game. I don’t quite have the discs to really try this out, but it is a good concept for a fun time. Similar to you and a buddy switching bags for a round.

Pretty aggressive sales pitch for new plastic, but I respect the hustle.
Not really considering pretty much all the disc he used were old and he was suggesting you use what you have not try and buy an entire new bag. But as member of foundation it could come off a giving a reason to buy new discs i suppose.
Not really most of use have hundreds of discs just from playing in tournaments over the years switching up every 3 months or so is something I do often but yes it does help me become an over better player

I’m just amazed you’ve got a champion viper! I love the viper but finding one in premium plastic got too difficult so I don’t throw them as often anymore! I’d love to get the chance to throw one

cool idea trevor! i think i’m gonna try this with some of the discs i took out of my bag a couple years ago. i feel like i’ve grown a lot as a player since then so maybe some of the stuff i didn’t like before would work better for my game now.
So sad about not seeing the old time boss. I’m a big forehand guy and I had the same run that was my first ever distance driver. Lost it years ago and havn’t seen one fly since. 😭😭

One of my first doscs was a 90s DX Viper. Beaten in so much but will still bring it out on warm days with open holes.

Great idea to switch things up and get a fresh look at the same courses. I'd like something bright and colorful, otherwise I can't see it on the ground. (colorblind and old man problems).
My EDC dg bag, aka the cheat code, is full of Z-Lite plastic & a few lightweight overstable approach discs. So much fun & surprisingly useful flights, even in mild-moderate wind.
I love doing this every couple months. Such a fun way to explore/learn

I never bring my real bag to my local course bc it lost its luster there, so I have been doing this exact thing! Always fun to find a new diamond on the shelf!

Just recently ordered all Recycled ESP discs from Discraft, can't wait to play a round with all of em as a "complete" bag!
I definitely would love to see another round with that bag and get to see more of the discs. I'd want to try the devilhawk and the cookie and see how they fly for my game.
Trevor, when throwing discs could you put up the flight numbers? For us newer players it helps categorize discs better. I know y’all proved numbers aren’t always true to print but it still gives a better visualization on flight pattern when your talking about anhyzer vs hyzer. 😎
As an engineer I'm impelled to spreadsheet everything including my discs. The spreadsheet has all the relevant data for each disc including color, plastic, weights and flight numbers. It's very handy to use Excel to evaluate my 80-100 disc collection and remind me what options I've got for each bag slot instead of digging through my closet and looking through stacks and boxes of discs. It also identifies holes in my bag or collection where new discs could be added. Who doesn't need a pie chart showing their distribution of putters, mids, FD's and DD's?
Fun video, and idea, definitely will have to try it out. Maybe with that MD4 if you end up giving that one away 😅.

I’m kind of new to disc golf and struggling to find the extra cash to cust on some more plastic. That being said, I haven’t thrown anything in that bag. I think I’d like to try that md2 due to my lack of arm speed at the moment. Love the solo content, congrats on the family addition 🙏
The millennium solstice looks like it might work for my game. I don’t quite have the discs to really try this out, but it is a good concept for a fun time. Similar to you and a buddy switching bags for a round.
Fun video concept…. It’s fun to play a backup or glow bag, and see if there’s anything that should be in the main bag.
