HOOBS VS LOCKE VS ROUSSEAU: NATURE OF MAN, STATE OF NATURE, SOCIAL CONTRACT

Attempts to compare and contrast the social contract theories of Thomas Hobbs, John Locke, and J.J. Rousseau. How the three prominent Contractarian theorist visualized nature of man, human living without any political authority( state of nature), and their social contract theory postulating origin of State, nature of govt, political obligation are compared and contrasted.
