The word mistranslated as repent (comes from a Catholic teaching penance) is the Greek word, Metanoia which means: a change of mind. Jesus came to the lost sheep of Israel NOT gentiles. Who was Jesus adressing? The unbelieving Jews because they did *not believe* that He was the Messiah. So they had to change their minds, their thinking because Jesus IS the Messiah. THAT is the context in ALL instances when Jesus is adresses the Jews about the Kingdom of God and salvation. It amazes me that people like Anthony Buzzard (with all his degrees) doesn't even know what a free gift is nor what the context of the Scripture is he uses. Do not be deceived, there are false teachers everywhere
