Why Everyone is SELLING their A90 Supra.

- The A90 Supra is one of the best cars on sale right now, but it doesn't come without a few problems. The Supra being the quick 2 seater sports car that it is, isn't a great car if you plan on needing any more space than just for groceries or a weekend trip. This makes it hard to haul tires, wheels, or anything else in the trunk.
It's more than that though. The Supra is made with BMW's b58 engine with over 100 more torque than horsepower! This means if you're at 500 horsepower, you also have 609 torque which for a rear wheel drive car is A LOT!
This makes the car a bit harder to drive or just easier to spin the rear wheels, which isn't something you want to do ALL the time.
For me, I really miss having my MK5 Supra, but I'm glad I have a car that's a better daily driver with my M340i. It's fun, fast, and practical. Eventually, I plan on getting a G80 M3 once prices come down and building that just like I did to my Supra and to my M340i.
Should you BUY a Supra? Or is everyone getting rid of theirs?
Now is the time to buy if you want a Supra! With everyone selling, prices going down! So if you're in the market for a Supra, then now might be the time.
As always, SUBSCRIBE to Gears & Gains for the best car content!

Oh no my car have no traction cuz i turned up the boost. Oh no my 2 seatsport car have no space for traveling or going for grocery and its hard to daily drive since i turned up the boost. Dude seriously?
Yes seriously 😔 It only got hard after like a year of ownership & then I got the m340. Great car
the guy is just a complainer with a clickbait title
Supra isn’t for people that rely on it to commute and practicality. It’s a weekend car.
Thats true, it is a really amazing weekend car. I miss the car so much but hopefully I'll get the chance to get one in the future again!
I daily drive mine 24 miles a day. It’s great in all conditions.
And corvette guys cam the crap out if their cars and still daily them witg turbos or superchargers lol
many of us have used smaller cars to drive every day without issues. This guy is pathetic.
@@Xander1Sheridan I used to daily my s2000, BRZ, RHD ITR, EM1, R32 GTR (to name a few) , yet, I am pathetic for thinking its best to reserve these type of cars for spirited drives and not daily commutes. You want to sit in that funky ass traffic ( live in south Miami), add wear and tear to your built or specked motor and clutch, doing all that stopping and going, and think its cool to daily in a tight cockpit style car in those conditions, then do it! More Kudos to you.
I personally hate not being able to let loose when I drive my supra, so only really drive mine at night or on holidays, and a tiguan when I don't want to worry about pot holes or my lip going missing because I was on a call while blazing through traffic lol
here's a question fo you sir, what do you drive or have driven?
Can't really complain about practicality if you . Can't really complain about traction once you start tuning a car, it's more on you to find solutions either than blaming the car
You wanted extra space, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the supra
I bought the car & enjoyed it for what it was but realized the things I overlooked became inconvenient. I didn't think just bolt ons would cause it to lose traction all the time, even with good tires like Michelin PS4S. I loved it & I really do miss it! Kinda wanna buy one again!
I never understand this. Why buy a sports car if you don't truly want one? Supras are known to come with tires overfilled from factory, seen it on few videos now, that's probably the unpredictable nature of the car many YT reviewers complain about.
I *LOVE* my '22 3.0 premium. I have zero plans of selling it anytime soon
I love the supra too! Might end up buying one again in the future if I have 2nd car!
Buy an Supra for daily and another one for weekend. Easy Fix
Litterally though get a civic lol
TRUE!!! Why didn’t I think of that?? Need more trunk space? Buy an extra supra! 🔥
Sports cars just aren’t meant to be dailies that’s all…..I don’t see a problem here
Thank you! & thank you for watching. Car was amazing but was such a headache living with! Miss it everyday but I know I'm better off
But they are, just people buy them who aren't actually ready for them.
Learned that lesson in my 20s 😅
Yep. 2 seat sports cars are meant to be a third or fourth car, especially those going through a mid-life crisis. As me how I know. 😉It's why I was able to hold on to my 2005 S2000 that I bought new, and which I would never sell now.
Eh, I've only owned 2drs for my 15years of driving. It's a non-issue.
I’ve been daily driving my Supra since new in 2021 with 62k miles now. It works for me. I live in the south and I am an empty nester.
😎🤙
That’s awesome bro you must have tons of fun with it. I wish I kept mine but I never could really enjoy it with the poor roads & bad weather we have in NY. Can’t wait to move down south myself!
the real reason you sold the supra has nothing to do with the car itself but your unrealistic expectations you had of it before you bought the car.
That may be true. I loved the supra so much but the practicality was what really got me
So don’t get a Supra. If you don’t a second car lol
I mean pretty much! Its just barely a good daily. Theres so many things you cant do with it that made me sell mine
My 95 Supra was a great daily driver once I purchased all season tires. When it snowed the car was grounded. I drove a company car when it snowed. Otherwise, the MK4 had good room, and you could even fit a small person in the rear for a quick trip. I loved that car.
I don’t think everyone is selling their Supras .
Probably not everyone, but a lot of people I see online or know in person have realized its a great car, but there are other great cars they can get for similar prices that are a bit more practical
@@GearsAndGains1 but those other great cars are ugly bro
I see so many people selling their supras with less than 10000 kms and I can't help but shake my head. Modding a car will almost always create some additional/undesired effects. My FBO E92 needed the tires aired out a little or it was very inpredictable, even with pilot super sports. The problem is silly people that don't truly want a sports car. They were temporarily caving in to their inner child.. Now, they're selling a car that's barely had an oil change, and the new owner is expected to believe that break in period was honoured.... 🤔🙄
That’s probably what I did. I was young & wanted the expierence of owning a car like a Supra and while I loved driving it, I realized it just wasn’t the best for day to day life. What an experience it was! I’ll never forget it.
The fallacy that many guys have after getting married and having kids is that their sportscar has to be sold, and a 4-door car or SUV, purchased.
But there's a better way. Since I was 21, I always had a 2-seater sportscar and and a far less expensive, go-anywhere car that was fine for driving in a traffic jam and parking downtown. Of course, my sportscar had a manual transmission, and the other car, an automatic. My wife also had a larger vehicle, so taking the kids somewhere was never an issue.
Was my sedan car really nice? No, it was an inexpensive but reliable Mazda. Now that the kids are adults, I have a 2024 Supra 45th and a much older NC Miata. My wife still loves her SUV.
So never think that your choice has to be a sportscar or a sedan. Have both!
This is so true! I wish I would’ve just bought a cheap car instead really. If the Supra was built on the 2 series chassis & had rear seats, I would’ve 100% kept it
@GearsAndGains1 The key is to buy a cheap but reliable car in addition to your passion car.
Having two cars can be surprisingly affordable if the total miles driven is devided. Insurance for each is reduced, and you can transport kids if needed.
That’s smart, definitely the best case scenario. In the future if I’m fortunate enough, I’d love to have a truck and a sports car. That way I’ll have everything I need
@@GearsAndGains1 It's good to have something or things to look forward to. That's what makes life worthwhile.👍
you'll regret it later. mines a 1000hp project.
I miss the car 1000% but I'm happy I got a good Daily-able car. I'll probably buy a supra sometime in the future again once I have my own house & space to do things. Its an awesome car, just not very practical for having 1 car
I got an is500, great comfortable daily with a mean sound. I have 2 is300’s so no need to get a B58. Just decided to build forged 2jz for my is300. Car only weighs 3200lbs.
Get an AWD sedan and your problems are solved. Keep the Supra in the garage during rain and winter. This car was not meant for a daily driver family car 😂
That’s exactly what I did! Got an m340 but I did get rid of the Supra. I love my m340 though it has the best of everything, except maybe handling but I’ll leave that to the real m cars
Toyota and BMW collaborated on the entire platform. It is indeed using a B58 -- however Toyota tore the entire engine down and sent back hundreds of parts with notes to BMW's engineers because the B58 at the time did not meet Toyota's reliability standards. Alongside that, the chassis was also co-developed with BMW. If you ever have the opportunity to drive a Z4, you'll notice it feels like a completely different car. To say the Supra is just a "rebadged" Z4 is an insult to the collaborative engineering that took place between Toyota and BMW.
Fun fact -- your iPhone has no parts made/manufactured by Apple. The phone itself consists components all sourced from different companies (screen, lenses, image sensor, glass, etc). The iPhone is engineered by Apple. Are we calling it a rebadged something else?
Toyota tuned it yes and co-developed it with BMW. It drives much different than a Z4 for sure, but i meant it was just a beefed up Z4 with a toyota bodykit. Every single part on it is produced by BMW.
If it doesn't have a 2jz, then it's not a supra🤣
And don't forget Gazoo Racing! They put the handling magic in the GR Supra. But yes, the B58 was made even more reliable, thanks to Toyota engineers. Some people complain about not having BMWs latest electronics/infotainment in the Supra. Anyone who knows BMW knows that you should NEVER buy the new model with latest updates. It takes a few years for BMW to get the bugs out. I don't want my Supra to be their test bed of sorts.
It's no 2JZ- GTE twin turbo engine, it's a BMW under the hood with either a B48 or B58. Burns oil under hard driving too.
Mine never had any oil burning issues but my m340 with the same engine burns oil like crazy. It’s so weird. I definitely wish they made a Japanese inline 6 but they didn’t have the money to make one supposedly
@@GearsAndGains1Respectfully speaking, Toyota definitely has the budget for it as they're one of the largest automakers in the world. I think though, the partnerships they're doing with BMW and Subaru are popular with buyers. Hence, Toyota's continuing them as it makes a lot of money.
Name one engine that doesn’t burn oil? 😂
@@touayaaj84 two stroke engines seen on motorcycles.
You’re underrated brutha! Keep up the banger vids man
Thank you so much! This comments means a lot 🙏 🥲
People kill me with practically in these type videos. like you bought a two door it’s not gonna have truck space.
I should’ve bought an el Camino with a truck bed 😢 I thought it wasn’t that bad at first but it got to me, especially when I wanted to take a road trip.
Absolutely love my 2020 Supra
Daily driven only 13k no issues, oil change every 3k liquid moly 5w-30synthetic, golf clubs fit in back, tires are all seasons, have draggy pack when needed, stage 2 tuned. FBO’s
All around fun times, my other vehicles are Roush F-150 supercharged & Roush mustang supercharged.
Sounds like an insane lineup you got! The supra fit my golf clubs perfectly, that's one reason I loved it so much! Could even fit 2 bags! & the B58 is so reliable & dependable. I drove mine from NY to Florida & back, also tuned stage 2 on my highest map & had zero issues. Car just wanted to keep going. It really is such a great car all around 🔥
F22 M240i and the G87 M2 are the best options. If I had money, I would get a G87 M2, but I don't have the money. I may never have it.
100% those are two awesome options for a 2 seater sports car with rear seats & great power potential 🔥 I’d get a g87 if it came in AWD
I ride BMX and have a Supra. Thank you for showing me how you get your bike inside. I never tried over the top of the rear brace with only the rear wheel removed.
Lol im glad i can help! I once tried putting 3 bags of golf clubs in my supra & it fit but i literally had the clubs hanging over the rear brace almost hitting me in the face 😂
The service centre just couldn't care enough. It's like, this is not our son.
Lol exactly 😂 The service center has never changed oil on a BMW yet its actually very easy
when someone sells their supra, at the exact same instance, someone buys.
True these cars are popular because they’re going down in value & people keep selling them to get more expensive cars like g80s or other kinds of cars. I think most people I know who had a supra now have a g80 m3 or some other kind of 4 door car you can modify
Not in my region. It's been a long wait for the seller to disposed it to buyer. The 2nd hand car cost a house....ha..ha..ha...
im 20 20k down college is 10 mins away, new college will be a 40 minute drvie next year and ill still live with my parents then, until i get my carreer at 21 or 22
I bought my Supra while I was in college living in a college house. Wasn’t the best financial decision but i definitely made it work! It was a crazy expierence owning that thing in college & I put like 15k down too. If you have the chance, do it! But make sure you can afford it.
I lived out of NA Miata for years in 1990’s. You just can’t take anyone grocery shopping. The couple times I needed more I rented a pickup.
I daily a BRZ now with a subwoofer and haven’t needed more space.
If you tune a car I always have a way to select different power levels for different driving conditions.
So basically... If you're gonna have this car, let it be your second or third and not primary. And also, don't mod it unless you add supporting parts. Not really a minus in my book. My track build s2000 is my 3rd car and sits in a climate controlled garage on its own. It's also driven strictly for leisure. I'd probably be a good candidate for an A90.
Nah just be ready for everything i mentioned in this video. I loved the car but didnt realize how much id miss having a regular sedan. Recently went on a roadtrip & it was so fun in my m340. Very comfortable & spacious car to drive far distances!
People who buy Supras are auto enthusiasts. For him to say "people don't understand how much BMW is in the Supra" is ridiculous statement... We all know it's a BMW.
I meant that people think its only the engine while in reality its every single part on the car that is produced by BMW except maybe the badges
Did you not see the car before you bought it? It is a 2 seat sports car with no baggage room. Not going to change after you buy it.
It was okay for the first like 9 months but then life changed & I needed a bigger car!
Geez, I thought it had some BMW, I didn't know it was that much BMW.
It is literally a bmw z4 with a body kit & retuned to be sportier
I was able to put a large trek slash in my s550 with the front wheel off, handle bars turned and pedals off plus still fit the groceries in for a 4 person family, and pick the kids up from school 😅, and i daily it, plus it has over 500hp. The Supra is a great car non the less, about time, they finally brought out the manual.
If the Supra had back seats like an s550, i definitely would’ve kept it. Would’ve been so much better to daily
Dude wants to do wagon activities with a 2 door sports car. Ok
I was hoping it would be like a clown car that fits a lot inside but looks small from the outside but in the end I realized I was the clown because I spent all that money modifying it just to sell it 🤡 😢
@@GearsAndGains1 lol
Imagine buying a house, a cheap paid off truck, and getting your life in order before buying the fun cars. Imagine.
The problem is that would never happen. I live in NY so buying a house is out of the question until I move to another state (which I’m planning to) but it’s also impossible to drive a truck here in most places unless you live outside the city.
Get a daily and supra ez pz
I wish I would've done that. Miss my supra so much! Used cars were going for crazy prices but I'm still happy with my m340i
I feel like this was a troll. You have supra money but you don't have a second car? I mean a 2004 4Runner with 120k miles goes for $8k. You now have a commuter and space and a towing vehicle.
That’s still 8k which is a lot to spend. Used cars don’t cost 2k to 5k anymore, everything is so expensive!
Awesome choice of cars, your old and new. Tastefully modified as well! What rims did you have on your Supra?
Thank you so much! I had Gram Lights on my Supra. 57dr i think? They looked so good but on my newer car ispent the extra money for te37s
They are amazing!!!
I love the supra! No other car for the price looks as crazy as a Supra does
I mean, it's a coupe and a sports car, so it's automatically impractical. About the tires, I must tell you the problem must be in the bolt-ons. Like every BMW, people tune them and make them different from how the manufacturer intended them to be built. Lastly, like every sport car , supra struggles at winter time.
That’s probably true the added torque just made that thing spin so crazy! It made it faster in a straight line but handle way worse.
Not everyone is selling their supra. What kind of fake garbage is this? 😅
Here in New York City, there are Supras everywhere. Most people I know who had one sold it to get into another project for drag racing, since that's what BMWs are really used for now. Either they bough G80 M3s, Bmw M5s, or some kind of other all wheel drive car.
Shoulda looked a little harder for a cheap and practical vehicle to have alongside the supra. literally just did a quick google search of honda accords in my area and found two with under 120k miles for under 8 grand. Now you lost a car that will almost certainly become a classic and traded it for a mid-range bmw that has no chance of becoming a classic. Best piece of advice I can give is always buy the highest trim of a car you can afford (ie better investment to buy a 3.0 supra than to buy a base porsche cayman, better to buy bmw m2 than to buy bmw 540i. In the future, more people are gonna want an M2 than an M340i. Hell, more people will want Supras, Nissan Z nismos, Subaru STIs, Evos, Civic Type Rs, Mustang Dark Horse/Mach 1s, Higher trim Charger/Challengers, etc. All of those are in the $35K-$70K range that people will be looking for in 20 years. Idk man, I woulda held onto the supra a little longer and saved up to buy a beater. Cars aren't good investments most of the time anyway, but you really threw money away with that choice.
This version can't hold a candle to the 90's Supra. Faster yes, design-wise, the old car is simply beautiful.
Nothing beats a MK4 Supra. That car is the goat 🐐 of all JDM cars. I wish modern JDM cars were as good as they were in the 90s but sadly the only one that really compares is the GTR which is way too expensive
If you buy a Supra and modify it to 500+ whp you deluding yourself if you expect it to be a practical daily driver. However, you highlight a point. Cars are getting expensive, most people can't afford that impractical sports car that only comes out on weekends. It's a lot of money to tie up in a weekend toy. Instead, they need a car that can do it all which is why hot hatches, the M3 touring and even large, fast sedans are getting so popular, cars like the Supra are dying off fast. It this exact reason why I'll be keeping mine hopefully well into my retirement. They are already rare now, in 20 years they'll be an absolute unicorn.
You make a great point! I love wagons & hot hatches. It's sad that in the US we don't get many of the same ones that Europe gets, but it definitely is because they don't sell well. The M3 touring is awesome & my first car, a Subaru WRX, I wish I would've gotten the hatch version. That's why most people just buy SUVs or Pickups.
How can a Supra NOT be a daily driver when you're just driving it to work? Do you need to pick up lumber at Home Depot, frequently or live in snow country? If so, then yes, I agree with you, but that's why I moved away from the East coast, years ago. Sportscar lovers who live in areas like that, are forced to buy a crasher sedan for bad weather days. I lived that life until I was 27, yet even after moving to CA, I still had a "crasher" for parking where fender benders were more likely.
Sounds like a poor dudes complaints about making bad financial decisions.
I do agree that I’ve been converted from a diehard Toyota fan to loving what BMW can do. My next luxury car purchase will be a BMW, and I no longer look at Lexus.
Same I no longer consider Lexus in the same league as BMW. I don’t think anything compares to BMWs performance except some RS models & maybe a few AMGs, but usually the BMW is the best in class
Should have gotten the m240. Best of both worlds
Yea true! Im not a huge fan of how it looks but that car with some mods would be stupid fast!
Wont be selling mine unless a new model comes out. Supra is my weekend car. Its perfect
Supra is a perfect weekend car 🔥 don’t think they’ll ever make a new Supra though unless they put the BMW s58 engine in one. That would be insane 🔥
Wait i'm confused the title was why EVERYONE is selling their supra, and your list is basically "i tuned it and now it's too much power" and "i forgot it has little storage space when i went shopping" just feels like clickbait here, that is why YOU are selling it, because you're silly. You silly goose, you.
Most people I know with supras are selling it for the same exact reasons I did! I was in a supra club in NY & half the guys sold them!
Before I bought my Supra I made sure I have a daily car that I use. That’s the problem with a lot of people especially young buyers. It’s not a practical car at all. More like a weekend car. It can be a daily driver car , depends where you live. It’s a very fun performance car I’ve ever owned.
True. At the time I had no need for practicality but over time I wanted to do more things with the car so it ended up being a headache doing basic things like road trips or moving out of college. Miss the Supra a lot but I’m glad I have a more practical car now.
I bought a m440 xdrive gran coupe a couple years ago. Fun car b58 awd tons of space cause it’s a hatchback. This was my daily for two years now it’s modified. Yes it’s one of the heaviest in the series. Great all around car, I love the Supra but needed the space and practicality of the bmw.
That's an awesome car. I definitely wish the supra had back seats or just slightly more space. The b58 is an amazing engine!
U can’t put everyone my guy I still have mine
That’s awesome how do you like it? I wish I still had mine 😢
so, in the end, don't add power (or at least as much as you did) and expect it to be a bit cramped for daily use/store runs. I guess Toyota needed to make it a 2+2...but then what about the GR86/BRZ? Yep, a 2+2 would have been better.
Exactly what I thought. If the Supra was built on the m2 chassis or had rear seats, it would’ve been way more practical & I probably would’ve kept it! But the chassis it’s on now is small & light so that’s a good thing about it
I daily this car…. My only complaint is i wanna buy parts everyday
Haha that was one of my complains too 😂 I always wanted to modify it. Speedindustry.com sells so many awesome parts for the Supra & when I found out about them I couldn’t stop buying “this one cool thing” I would see every day 😂

I had an M340, it was a great car and while I miss it the BMW's all look the same and don't stand out in the crowd. I also did not daily my M340, with it having the tire and cooling package along with RWD it sat from mid December until late March.
The m340 is an awesome car but you’re right. It looks like regular traffic & it blends in a lot. Most people think my car is an m3 from the back but from the front they don’t even notice.
It’s a BMW. It will never be a Toyota Supra.
True can’t argue with that. It’s actually one of the best BMWs they make right now, especially with how ugly some of the newer BMWs are 😂
@@GearsAndGains1
Exactly.
Keeping my MK5 plus grip is bad tune..not a smooth curve. I run 10 sec on stock tires stock Axles 😂
I had a Visconti tune on ecutek which was super aggressive. It was just too torquey to grip!
The Supra looks like crap
People sell cause it ain’t a Toyota and will never hold value
I love the way it looks. It definitely has depreciated but it’s still an awesome car. You can get a 2020 for somewhere in the 40k range. What a steal
Its not called a A90 supra it's called a J29 supra🤦
The mk4 was the a80 so is this not the a90? I actually didnt know they call it J29 though thats interesting to know
@@GearsAndGains1 The fifth-generation Supra uses BMW model code conventions, designated as a J29 series with DB model codes. So basically Toyota can't called it a a90 because is just a g29 z4 underneath that jdm skin
This is why I bought a Z and only did minor mods. (As a third car). The car is timeless. The B58 Supra is not. Especially if modified too much.
These cars aren’t daily cars. They can be, but aren’t supposed to be.
Good luck with the m car. You’ll sell that soon too. It’s an ‘in the middle’ car too 😂

@GearsAndGains1 is perfect except for that little power issue. All mazda has to do is get that thing up to honda S2k power, and they refuse.
Im going to install 7mgte engine from generation 3rd supra into a90 😊
That would be insane 🤯
I think its time for me to get out of the M game, and get into P-cars
P.... P... Porsche? 😳
I mean if you plan on making it your daily and your weekend fun car yeah the 340i is the way to go.
I have two friends with the Supra and driven them both one stock and one tuned. It was a fun car to say the least but it's a tight car even for a weekend warrior it's not a car that I would want to go anywhere distance wise had it been a little larger or similar to the original I probably would own one today.
It's kind of ironic I clicked on this video because I was just pondering over the idea of a smaller car that you can still do some deadly stuffing and enjoy the drive and a m340i came to mind. I'm not saying there's not other vehicles but the m340i is about the price point that I'm willing to go as far as a side toy as much as I'd rather have some other ones even today to car market is still way overvalued
Thank you so much for watching! The m340 is an almost perfect car. Its pretty much a 4 door AWD supra. A little heavier, doesnt handle as well, but its an amazing car for the price point for sure
so a sport car is not pratical car? no shit? XD my supra put 500 whp and for the moment i have fucking chinese tire and drive the car ALWAYS all OFF, the car is to sticky for me, i dont know what ur talking about, these car only slide IF YOU WANT THEM to slide, this car have crazy rear grip.
I live in new york where there roads suck so every time i would hit a bump, i would literally lose traction. I had 295 Michilin PS4S tires on & it helped but still with the torque i had, the car is easy to slip out in
I sold my 2020 Supra GR 3.0 for all the same reasons. Especially the spinning out. I traded for a 2024 Civic Type R (more practical).
The new type R is so dang cool! Love those so much. The Supra is just way too torquey with the b58 engine to be daily driven with the RWD. I wish it was AWD.
Would love if they released a awd mk5 supra
That would be the most perfect car I’ve ever seen in the world. That car would be so dang fast, everyone would be building them 🔥 I wish the Supra could go from RWD to AWD like the new M3s & M4s
My Chrysler crossfire made me fall in love with Mercedes
Chrysler crossfire is basically a Mercedes which means the crossfire is basically a supercar
@@GearsAndGains1 i wouldnt call it a supercar, but it was a relevant sports car when it came out. I think it got a lot of undeserved hate, it was based off the slk320 and slk32
OMG 😂 my guy talk about self sabotage! First of all you should’ve thought about buying any “sport” car a bit more in depth . You most on know you we’re going to modify it! You should always have a second or 3rd vehicle if that is the case. Last time I check a practical and sport only share the a couple of letter but not all the same functions. Also once you mod any car there is more to it than just boosting hp. Suspending, tire, brakes, weight distribution etc. This sounds more like a cheap out due to lack of planning. However, this how we all learn. Glad ur happy with ur new car. Next time now you know what to expect and you won’t just be following the hype. Be safe and stay blessed.
Thank you brother you too! Im glad i was able to own it. It was such a fun car while i had it in college but once life got rolling, it became a better idea to own a more practical car.
Supra is best 2nd car not as only car.
True that’s what I wish I had it as. A 2nd car and maybe a 4 door main car!
I thought you bought a minivan or SUV. A 340i/M3 is a Supra sedan as far as I’m concerned.
YES that's so true. The m340 is pretty much a 4 door, all wheel drive supra. I wanted an m3 & should've gotten one but I think that will be my next car. The A90 supra literally made me fall in love with BMW 😂

@@GearsAndGains1 im lowonpwr.mx5 will add you
It’s sad to see such a nice car leave, but it didn’t have the soul of the old Supra but it does have the concept of it a tuner lightweight car that’s reliable
I will stay w/the Mustang.
Mustangs are crazy, especially a modified coyote. Someday I might own one of those if I ever convert to American cars! For now I’m really loving BMWs
rx7 had a german rotary motor, mr2 had a british lotus motor .. yet people talk about the supra... mk5 is a excellent car
The Supra having the b58 was the best thing they could’ve done. It’s reliable, can make good horsepower, and sounds so dang good. I have no problem with it being a BMW because BMW makes great cars as well!
@@GearsAndGains1 good stuff man , yeah people that hate most likely got dusted to one... Or have no knowledge
1World problems lol..Supra and Z4 have nothing to do besides engine, everything else is different.
Most of problems you had was with a heavily tuned car, not stock...and it changes everything, but i would go for the M3 as well
I wish I would’ve gotten an m3 instead of getting an m340. Definitely first world problems though, I’m just thankful I was able to own both of these cars in the first place 🙏 it was an amazing experience owning a supra
Rs5 or s5
Those are some awesome options, but I think this car made me fall in love with BMW 😍
Hah, ran into similar issues with my C8. (the problem with 2 seaters and all the other inconveniences)
The c8 is such an awesome car. Even with the trunk space in there it’s just an odd shape so you can’t fit everything in there. The Supra’s opening was so weirdly shaped so I couldn’t fit many boxes in there
Tacoma as daily, Supra for when I wanna have some fun. Not selling that beast 😮💨
That’s an awesome duo 🔥 wish I had a truck & a cool car. Trying to convince my gf to get a ZR2 so I can drive it but it’s not working 😂
What year was your supra?
Mine was a 2020. So it sounded better than most of the newer supras & was easier to tune since BMW locked all the ECUs after 2021.
I know the 2020s had the bump steer issues. You mentioned the traction problems, which could have been due to the bump steer, a problem with the 2020 vehicles that was resolved in later models. Yeah, I heard the newer models are hard to unlock and expensive to unlock.
I never heard of that issue that’s crazy! Maybe I had it. The 2020 was definitely the easiest to unlock & the cheapest to tune. I don’t even wanna know what sending your ECU out costs 😭
BMW is a overated turd......constant maintenance......quirky electrical systems. ...90s Supra twice the car.
Modern BMW engine like the B58 have none of that. The BMW youre talking about is from 2014. BMWs now are super reliable
Bro why are you saying everyone is selling it lol hahaha I just bought the 2024 model right after your video, FYI when BMW and Toyota work on something together you should blindly trust it’s a great project, everything about this car is made to be a unique and most tunable car now days, driving experience and price with capability are insanely good, you didn’t appreciate the car which is very unique thing to see doesn’t mean people aren’t happy with it, who cares if BMW has their engine in it ? Now BmW is a bad company or something !? The b58 is the best 6 cylinders engine in the world right now and the most reliable and most tunable. You will very soon regret this, keep in mind that if Toyota stopped producing this car after 2025 the price of this car will go insanely high, and remember people didn’t really appreciate the mk4 when it was newly released the new Supra is suffering from the same thing but real winners are the owners of this masterpiece
You clearly didn’t watch the video 🤣
@@adriandemitriarnold then you clearly named the video in way to get more views but the content is something else lol
Well I love the Supra & BMW & it’s an amazing car… you should’ve watched til the end!
@@GearsAndGains1 it’s just the title of the video make people feel like it’s bad car, I know it’s for more views but no worries
Idk why. I’ll take it lol😅
G87 better
I’m not a huge fan of the g87 because of the looks. I prefer the g80, but supposedly there’s an all wheel drive g87 coming out in a few years so that thing would be a monster
I drive a 2014 Corolla... 😅
Hey 2014 Corolla is an awesome car, no shame in that! Better than what most people drive!
@@GearsAndGains1 213k miles on it, no shame. Done some questionable off roading... lol tooks me all over the place. Best car ever. Time to get a Toyota SUV or truck. Maybe the GR Corolla. Lol
well said 1 but it wud b nice 2 see the supra took to its final boss status wiv all the weak points sortd ! bms r like dog shit every fkn were ur eye turns lol supra any day 4 me !
Supra is a super awesome car I miss it a lot! Nothing can beat how cool that car looks
Supra interior is trash. So Toyota
I enjoyed it. It wasnt as good as a BMW but it was defiantly better than toyota interiors. The interior is made by BMW too
Wrong. Dude, unbelievable ignorant. Wrong.
How? 😢
Cause they are bmws
BMWs are awesome cars though, I fell in love with them because of the Supra
German car 🤢🤢
Who knew the Supra would be the best modern BMW they make 😂
5:03 Damn 😍... Why doesn't any Supra sound like that?
I think the Supra sounds better than the g80 m3! But you just have to have the right exhaust on both to make them sound great 🔥
The size was so not practical 🥲 worst part
Lmfao 🤣🤣. You could just got a V8.
I rather a turbo inline 6 because they sound super cool. V8s sound better yes but idk, I love the turbo noises.
supra is a 2nd car
100%. I’m glad I got to experience it through for the time I had it. I’ll never forget my ownership with it 💯
So basically...
