- I explored over 30 planets in Starfield so you could see the different atmosphere. The gameplay was recorded in high graphics 4K and the music are from the game.
Starfield is a new universe from Bethesda Game Studios. This next generation RPG game set amongst the stars and you can explore anywhere in this epic journey.

Half of these are just in New Atlantis lol. But yeah I’ve landed on 70 planets in about 40 hours

Are there any Ice Planets like the ones that resemble Planet Hoth from Star Wars where it’s covered in Ice and Snow?

Yes there are but most of the time, planets have more than only one biome.
You can have forests and plains on a planet with ice and snow at the poles.
Honestly Starfield looks incredibly boring. Glad it’s released, though, so Bethesda can start focusing on Elder Scrolls VI

What are the names of the planets?
It looks like the terrain is a flat plain with an occasional mountain no matter what planet you visit. No hills, gorges, canyons, rivers, lakes, valleys, or anything in between. The forests are also really lackluster. No density. No jungles. What's up with that?

@@Snillomator Negative I'm overseas right now so I'll have to wait til next year. The consensus I'm getting is it's still a great game despite its faults but I've been trying to find interesting environmental variation and haven't seen much in the way of that.

I agree. The variation is a bit lack luster especially compared to the planets of No Mans Sky. The game is absolutely massive though. The artists and designers need solid recognition though. The areas that are designed are meticulosity detailed absolutely incredible. Sooo many different assets. The story is amazing so far too. The landscapes wont make your jaw drop.

Where are the atmospherics? I understand they have implemented variable gravity, cool, awesome, but where is the Venus-like sulphuric acid atmospheres? Where are the weather systems, with raging storms? Where are the atmospheres with different compositions? Why is the sky always blue/Earth-like?
I haven't seen any tidally locked planets either, researchers believe most rocky planets may be tidally locked with a scorching desert day-side, a freezing icecap night-side and a temperate terminator line in the middle--that could be habitable for the development of life. Again, a planet such as this would very likely have a constant storm that blows over the surface also. Yet I still haven't seen a planet like this?

funny how people expect alot of planets to be full of life and not follow the some realism of space. Like really this was not a starfield clone it was going for what space could be like. Not every system will have green pastures of grass and vibrant colors. Planets are desolate and rocky to barren as fuck and I find that okay. Staring off into the void on a rocky planet puts things into perspective.

@lewis213b7 Starfield is a Grounded Scifi Story. It isn't for everyone, but I like it. It makes me feel like I'm actually in the future, which is immersive.

There's a lot of ice worlds and barren worlds. This video doesn't show the variety the game has

I have to give some props to BGS on this one. Planets with life on them actually have various biomes compared to No Mans Sky, were you see one square mile, you see it all. It's not in depth like Subnautica, but it's a nice touch. Creating a world like ours with just as much diverse biomes and animals is almost impossible, even in the best game engines. I can not wait, though, to see how the modding community knocks it up a notch.

But you CANNOT deny how dead and empty the worlds are though, as a whole. You literally can't fucking deny that when almost all of these planets are just vassssst wastelands with a few POI scattered around...
@@80TheMadLord08 Ngl well from what I've seen I loki disagree in them mostly being empty. Maybe it's my simplicity on the matter and "taking on the views" like todd said himself in regards to the asthetics most of the planets bring within its dynamic and at times atmosphere. And like yea imo its mostly moon planets with a very simplistic and "bare" design which even those are interesting too from the fact of what Ive found. Just saying majority og planets are dead and empty worlds as a whole is just disingenuous to me idk because from what I've played I've seen quite a few interesting planets like icy mountain planets, tropical planets, vastly ocean planets or alot of water planets, and from what I hear from friends there's apparantly more variations too. But yea from this video I could see how u see and feel about the state of the planets from the game. But me personally I've been quite delighted and loki excited with some planets and sitelines ive ran into. The photo mode is such a lovely touch too imo that's adds to that thrill on going on these planets and finding diffrent photos to take n stuff. And plus it being space tbh its from what I come to expect out of a space game. That's just me tho and I'm well satisfied for what was given to me in regards to the quality of planets 😕.

And landing on these Desolate planets knowing that these aren't meant for life, structures, trees, grass etc. to be on here is what makes it feel much like we are ones walking on this planet surveying something without life or meaning. Just a Rock in space practically. idk that's how i see it. That's why when I see only say a cave or 2 generated near in my role-playing mind It brings a sense of immersion with that reasoning.

To be fair, they're different games. Literally the only major thing the games have in common is space exploration. But besides that, comparing them is ingenuine, because Starfield is an open world RPG with emphasis on RPG. No Man's Sky is an exploration and resource gathering game
The only thing that is impressive is when the moons are near planet. I like that atmosphere. Rest its just repeating planets lol
All those single stations and nothing beyond it, most cities are barely interactable
You should try to get into the quests in the cities. I just played through a huge questline in Akila, which was really fun. There are tons of quests like that, you just gotta find them.

@Lost_Dawn Better space games? Like what? It's really just a Bethesda game set in space, so, I don't see how it's a ripoff. Before I played the game, I didn't expect much, but them when I started playing it, I can't stop playing it. The game is immersive, beautiful, extremely well built with minor bugs. Has great story lines and encounters. Has an awesome ship building system, and much much more. I'm in love with it.
Kinda disappointing. I’m gonna wait a year before I get it. Hoping the modding community will fix the planet generation and add more variety. Based off this video it gets incredibly repetitive very quickly. Not to mention the planets look so flat and empty. We need mountains, oceans/lakes, trees, animals, weather events, stuff that makes planets feel alive and make them unique. I’d honestly prefer if Bethesda decided to focus on quality over quantity and just make a handful of planets with their own unique ecosystems.
With those kinds of mods, starfield is going to be 160+ GB to be playable lol
What kind of planets did you wanted? Most of the real space is like that(aside from habitable planets). And this video actually didnt showed all of the variations. I think its only like 50-60% of all variations.

I've successfully cracked the formula for this game. Excluding city planets, every single planet in this game has 1 very very very small structure, if youre lucky medium sized compound on it, which takes 10-15 minutes straight of holding up on the stick or W on the keyboard, just to explore this very small or medium sized compound for 5 minutes, to then just enter the miles of vast nothingness once again to explore meaningless nothingness for 20 more minutes until you decide to leave. Literally 99% of global surfaces are filled with literally NOTHING, ahhhh yes its very beautiful the lens flairs are gorgeous, the landscapes are beautiful, yea thats all well and good, but when the novelty of taking in the view ends after 30 fucking seconds, wtf are you gonna do? oh thats right, run in a straight line for 20 minutes again praying you have SOME, A SPRINKLE of action or interaction with literally anything to the point that you wonder, what's even the point of leaving the city planets at all? Yea this game looks fucking garbage.
Well, the planet exploration sounds boring as hell. But what about the "action" gameplay? Can I be a space mercenary and steal people's spaceship?

That is a meat of the game. The rest is are mostly empty planets(aisde from wildlife) with generated and handcrafted POI's.

VERY disappointed in the procedural generation of starfield, Skyrim had better looking natural environments. HOW HARD IS IT TO CODE VALLEYS, CANYONS HILLS, MOUNTAINS. MINECRAFT HAS THAT TECHNOLOGY, ITS OLDER THAN SKYRIM
