It's not really.
It's subversive to the trope, but totally fits with the show. Making Liz deserve a lot of what happens to her in the show is what's actually brilliant (though hardly unique). These days too many shows try to make protagonists infallible, but infallible is inhalation/u relatable and thus unlikable.

Idk why but the abby storyline really bugged me. Not because I have anything against extremely girly cutesy girls, but because her reasoning didn’t make sense. If anything the way she was behaving could get her into more trouble with other weirdo guys. It just didn’t make sense. I know, shocker, a sitcom plotline doesnt make sense haha
It’s poking fun at Liz’s feminism. Liz has a prescribed way that she thinks women should behave, which in an of itself isn’t very feminist. Her whole character is kind of a roast of “white feminism”.
@@Madhatter1932 I understood that point, but I meant they could have come up with some other storyline that made more sense haha. Like the time Liz was proven wrong when she was talking about male female equality and then tracy asked her to change the water in the water filter instead of making a guy do it lol.
As someone who’s been in a similar position to her, the way she acts actually makes a lot more sense than you might think
