If you buy a house in Turkey they will give you Turkish citizenship and passport. I think it has to be $200k or more. It's never a bad idea to have a second passport plus you have a vacation home.
I got an all inclusive resort package in Antalya off of Expedia with transfer service from and back to the airport. Take the excursion to Pamukkale if you get the chance. Your Russian friend will just need to get her travel agent to get you both in the same resort.
