I mean sometimes there isn’t much you can do, also lots of kids like sleeping on the floor 🤷🏻‍♀️ when my cousins came over, we would actively reject sharing the bed (my brother and I both had queen size so there was room) and instead we would all steal every spare and decorative blanket and pillow in the house and make a giant floor nest 🤷🏻‍♀️ kids will be kids, and if that’s what they prefer, there’s no point in making a big deal over alternative arrangements

Dude, it's not "having no manners" to not kick your kids out of their OWN room for someone else. As far as I'm concerned, it's far, far more badly mannered to force someone to give up their own space for you. There are clearly plenty of mattresses. Her sisters kids could have slept in a living room or in her room if she wanted to be accommodating. It's incredibly rude and bad mannered to force your children to give up their own space for someone else. It's not like the kids chose for the sister to come over, the mom did. Therefore, the kids should not be the ones to suffer for it
