UNBELIEVABLE, it works with external voltage!! Same exact error. Did yours work again after you replaced the faulty IC? Thanks you sooo much for your diagnosis, now I can repair my Scope ^^

mine had the same problem. those capacitors replaced and that same i.c. I also replaced the polarizers of the lcd display and moded the backlight to LEDS.
Hello, just wondering if you have time to respond please. I also have a fluke 97 That the screen is extremely dark it still works but dark. I figured it's a backlight if it has one.

And also what is 'Moded"?
Awesome troubleshooting methodology. What are those four caps used for? I have the same meter, heard a rattling in it, and took it apart only to find one of those caps fell off the board. The scope seems to still function, but the screen display is very dim. Also, did you solder those caps with a hot air gun?
I have a fluke 99b it doesn’t have the battery, when I plug the charger it doesn’t power on but when I put 5 volts on battery connectors it does power on, can you help me please

Hola, me gusto tu video acerca de la reparación del Fluke. Yo tengo uno que compre recientemente pero me salió malo esta descalabrado y no funciona el multimetro. En los centros de reparación de Fluke en Mexico y USA me dijeron que no tienen arreglo. Yo entiendo que quieren venderme uno nuevo. Lo que yo quiero saber es si no es posible encontrar partes especificas para estos osciloscopios para poder arreglarlos.

buenas noches ,o meu conselho é acompanhar o eBay pra recuperar o scoop antigo .. Porem Lhe Recomendo Cautela ,pois tem componentes sensíveis a eletrostática .. Então Precisa Ser Muito E experiente & Nao Cometer Erros !
TENHO UM ,IGUAL ,& Limpei o resíduo (ja estava quase corroendo a placa & trilhas) que aquele conjunto de capacitores .. Descobri ,no meu uma incoerência ..Todos
exceto um
sao 10uF x 50 Volts
mas tem um que esta estranho & foi ele qm correu superficialmente a placa (oxido de cobre). Limpei com álcool isoproplico & ficou 99% de excelente o resultado ..
Mas por que Um Tem o Valor de 100 uF x 6 VOLTS ????
EXATO ELE FOI O RESPONSÁVEL POR QUASE DANIFICAR A PLACA .
.. PRETENDO TROCAR TODOS POR TANTALO !!!!
OBS TEM QUE LIMPAR OS DOIS LADOS DA PLACA ..EU ESQUECI & LIMPEI SÓ O LADO DO TECLADO .
POR CAUSA DE UMA DISTRAÇÃO ESQUECI O LADO DOS COMPONENTES
QUE O FIZ ESSE MÊS ..
