Sei lá... Complicado comparar a interpretação de quem viveu na pele aquilo tudo com a de quem não teve aquela vivência. Elis Regina é incrível, forte e delicada aí mesmo tempo, mas a filha dela tem muito dela e um talento inegável. Ela só não tem a dor na pele como a mãe teve.

One of the best parts of this AMAAAZING performance is: she past years not siging non of her mother's song. She talks about that on some of interviews on TV. People and critics compares her with her mother and sayd that she NEED sing and performace like her mother.

It's so nice to watch your reacts from Brazilian artists. As a Brazilian let me tell you something, usually we don't have much to feel happy or even be proud about. Just being able to have a computer and an internet connection to write this to you (in English) makes me realize how much previlege I have compared to the more than 200 million Brazilians out there. So, when I watch you be so respectful and delighted by our music, even translate it so other can understand the powerful lyrics. On top of that you explain to us how wonderful, special and unique the song is; it just brings tears to my eyes and a feeling of proud humbleness (if there is such a thing). Sometimes we have the impression that most americans believe that their own culture, own history and own experiences are self-sufficient and all they need to know...but you are prooving that is room for exchange in the USA! Here in Brazil we already learned a lot from USA's culture, your music, your movies, your history (including english...that I've learned from listening to music and reading classic books without a full language course), and is a huge relief to see that our cultural diamonds are reaching other countries with people as respectful as you who has "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" what others have to teach and the emotions they have to share!!!
