Just a tip for anyone who ever has water through their ceiling. If you pop a small hole in your ceiling near to where the water is coming through the most, the water will automatically find that gap and pour through. You can then put something under to contain that one area rather than dealing with it pouring down the walls/through light fittings etc. 🙂

If indeed was a bursted pipe, here's a simple explanation! So first, it is cold outside in the video, which causes the pipe to freeze. Then the air in the water expands as it turns to ice. (Ice wedging.) Then the pipe is broken and floods the house. Well there you go! I'm so glad they are okay!

just so you guys are not alone, i had that happen in my house. a brick literally fell through the kitchen ceiling. we had to move house while our house got fixed. and just to make everything worse, my mum passed away from cancer on boxing day. this was 2019.

I know you probably know this but if your walls are damp then that can become quite dangerous because stuff can like build up (such as mold) and that can make the wall break in the damp area
When it is really cold outside and you don’t turn on a specific faucet or tap often, the pipes can burst and do a lot of damage to houses. I know this because it happens to my friend and almost happened to me. ❤️
