- Got this boat, motor AND trailer for a P.O.S., OLD Dodge Dakota! The motor needed nothing but a new prop, fuel filter (already had!!) and a good TuneUp! The trailer just needed the lights rewired and bairings repacked (already had - Lol)! And the boat.... Well, it just needed a good cleaning and some rewiring as well! Took all of three, 8 hr days.... This winter, the side walls inside will be fiberglassed and the motor will be COMPLETELY rebuilt from flywheel to prop! Enjoy!
PS: I have her running rich to "lube up" anything that's been sitting, that's the reason for the smoke and dead fish in the water! :D - Zábava
HOLY MOLY!!!!!! I just got a rally 150 and was trying to find a little info on it and this is my boat...not a boat like this but this IS my boat. How F-ing random is that!?!?!? and this isnt the guy I bought it from.
nice Motor!! I have a 1969 and runs awesome! any other videos of it? I am looking to pull my lower unit and install new impeller, any advice or tips?
Put a lower pitch impeller on it.... she'll have some more torque (or is it the other way around?) Nonetheless, get that torque! Mine didn't like to take off but would run like a wild dog once u got up to speed! That's about it... that boat is underpowered w/ that motor!
Lol! Does it run good still? Or still under powered?
