    I love my infrared thermometer. I tested it with my other regular thermometers and it is very accurate. You have to keep in mind that it gives you surface temperature, so I always stir well when I use it. I bought it at Wholesale Supplies Plus!

    The cons to this soap mould for my preferences is the size. All my soap moulds are made 70mm (w) x 9mm (h) because I like them to be held in the hand easier and still maintaining the design the right way up. Love your soaps though, the colours really popped on your tiger swirl. :) Good review also, you did a great job. Very thorough. :)

    You said that you would like it the molds to be about another inch or two higher, what you can do is get some plastic same width of the mold walls 1 or 2 inches thick and glue them to the tops of you molds so the plastic rap wont touch the soap! Its just an idea!

      +Marlene Depierre It insulates the soap so it fully gels :) Some soaps, like ones with cream, milk, etc., will get too hot and crack, so those ones you'll want to put in a cool place like a fridge!

  • @snackpants
    @snackpants Před 11 lety

    Great review! Thank you for sharing. I have a question, when you CPOP with the mold, do you find that the soap sometimes overheats because of the silicone lining? I have always used wood because have read numerous time that silicone gets too hot. Since it's basically a thin layer, I'm hoping it does not act differently. Your thoughts are appreciated. Great job!

    • @ireneflores179

      +DJI.DRACULA , the oven is a great way to insulate your soap so it can harden properly, especially if it's chilly or you have a humid or inconsistent environment where you're soap making.

    Hardness to the bar, 1 tsp per pound of oils. Adding sugar at 1 tsp per pound of oils adds lather, you add them into the water and make sure they're fully dissolved before adding the lye. :) Hope that helps.

    Brilliant presentation, as always, Ariane 😊 Must say, I do have to concur with former comments re the music 😔 Also, I really enjoy watching the cutting of the soap, - my favourite part, in fact ((~_~’ Yet when it’s ‘fast forwarded’ there is no point watching anymore , as one doesn’t actually get to see the exciting part - the Soap❣️ 😊. Actually, it hurts my eyes, the speed it is presented to the camera. I know you are doing what you think is best for those of us watching...but let those impatient types, fast forward themselves ;)) ;)) P.S. Possibly these requests are outdated on my part, as I now see this was filmed in 2013 : ) : ) // You are a wonder with all you do, plus family. Incredible❣️
