Stern isn't the only company making machines anymore, but they're the largest one. There are a few other smaller ones as well.
He said the Hobbit game was “when Stern was trying to see how big of a screen they can put on it”. That game was made by Jersey Jack of course and that company is complete trash. Stern is amazing and I don’t want people to think games like Wizard of Oz was made by them. That game is the most broken over priced pile of poop that the pinball industry has ever seen. To be fair I haven’t played their most recent games so I’m sure they figured out most of their problems by now. Those days of $1 Jersey Jack games that were completely broken we’re dark times especially for the owner of the game who spent well over $10k for what was promised to be the best game ever that will change pinball forever. Good video besides that and seems like a good kid. Going to subscribe for sure.
This video reminds me of why you have to take any fact you hear in a CZcams video with a grain of salt.
@@EmeraldCityRiz The Big Lebowski is awesome. They are new compared to Stern so they obviously had to work on some things but they're a lot better now.
Lol, Stern has issues all of the time. Jersey Jack Pinball has about the same amount, but release less games. JJP usually has flipper weakness. All pinball makers are awesome just for making pinball ideas come to life.
Good video.
@@rfinnegan7106 I agree that any pinball company even just trying these days is awesome. Charging over $15k fir a machine that doesn’t work isn’t cool at all. That’s why the Wizard of Oz ruined that company for me. It doesn’t matter if a game looks good if it doesn’t play good, that’s why old machines are still popular. They don’t look the greatest but they still have good game play. Saying Stern has just as many problems as Jersey Jack is by far the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard somebody say about pinball. I have owed both machines personally and have worked on both. My Wizard of Oz machine only works because all internal parts were replaced with Stern parts. That thing was worthless until then. I had to update that machine with a USB every month for a few years because even the software was released broken. I was glad to get rid of that thing even though the game was devalued so much I had to take a huge loss on it. I will still give the new JJP games a chance I just haven’t been to an arcade since the pandemic started.
One thing that I’ve always found refreshing about your channel is the fact that-despite the pandemic, the bleak economic prospects, the geopolitical tensions, or whatever-you always maintain a positive outlook and manage to find a way to celebrate a better, more peaceful, and fun-loving tomorrow. 👍🏻👏🏻
I agree
Aww. Thanks Alex!
Thanks Janelle!
We just went back to Vegas in January for the first time since Covid started and we took a cab to the Pinball Hall of Fame. I was hoping to find 2 machines that I played endlessly back in the mid 70s, Old Chicago and Captain Fantastic. And they were there!!! This place is awesome, thanks Chris.
Awesome Mike! A trip down memory lane!
I remember Captain Fantastic. I liked Card Whiz. Back in the day, when we were kids, my brother and I could spend a quarter and make it last HOURS. We used to kill a pinball machine called Strange World. We didn’t have enough time to play all the free games we won. We’d beat that on a regular basis
Not many from the 70s.Best time to play pinball. This place does not interest me
@@zabagar I grew up in a small town of White lake NC back in the 70s.I remember captain fantastic
The owner of the arcade room hated seeing me and my brother.Because he knew we were pinball wizards. The pinball machine called Super Sonic by Bally was our favorite. We would rack win 15 games in no time.We would be on it for 2 to 3 hours and then sale the games for 2 bucks.Come back about a 1 0r 2 hours later and play again.Yes the 70s was the best time to play pinball. The arcade had all the good ones.Kiss,Charlie Angels,Star trek,Evil kenevil, rolling stones eight ball delux, deluxe, and of course captain fantastic just to nam a few.As far as this place
IT does not interest me.After the early 80s pinball machines were more about looks. This is all this place has.The ones made in the 70s was so easy to figure out to win. Those machines in the 70s was straight forward without a bunch of nonsence
@@stevesmith-oj2bi LOL. Have you even been there? There are tons of machines from the 60s and 70s
This is one of my favorite places to visit in Las Vegas! It's a museum and entertainment center combined.
it also feels like you go into a time machine when you enter - it takes me back to a wonderful time! So happy for the owners!
Yeah this place gets too much good publicity the owner is a piece of s***
You mention Stern is the only pinball manufacture left. Pinball is seeing a giant resurgence. There are many companies making new pinball cabinets all over the world. Jersey Jack, Spooky, Haggis, Homepin and American Pinball to mention just a few. Google is your friend !!!
Wonderful to see the new location! I didn't know they moved. That place is the best gaming value in the whole town!
This place looks very cool. I want to go
It sure is Wutaii!
Would LOVE to have nothing but PRE-1970's machines! Those news ones with all the flashing lights, sound effects, music, animations, etc are overload for my old brain!!!
My name isnt Tommy but I was quite the pinball wizard back in the day!!!
The machines with the rifles and the bowling ones had to be some of my favorite. Although they wern't really pinball.
Thank you for pinball overload...love it.
My pleasure Steve!
Wow didn’t realize how massive it is!
my dad had a pinball afficianado/collector/hobbyist friend, that had to build a barn to house all of his pinball machines and parts...
if anybody knows of Silver Ball Ranch In Sebastapool California. Will always Remember this guy and his collection of pinball machines
This place is awesome! I’ve been to the old location many times. Great new location! Much more convenient to get to!
I was a frequent Vegas visitor (anywhere from 6-8 times per year) and the old PHOF was always high on my list of "must visits". Finally got to see the new location on my first post-COVID trip to Vegas in December 2021 and absolutely loved this spot. Great location & it's nice to see so many machines on display & available for play.
Its an amazing spot for sure now Jeff!
I loved going to the pinball Hall of Fame in the old location, really looking forward to checking out the new location in a couple months when I'm down in Vegas
Love this place. Always visit each time I'm in Vegas for an afternoon. Good place to spend a lot of time and not a lot of money
Stern is far from the only manufacturer making modern pinball machines right now. Also, the Hobbit machine is not made by Stern either.
Stern isn't the only pinball machine company making machines today. Jersey Jacks & American Pinball are making great machines.
Chicago Gaming Company also makes some really great games. They bought the rights to the Bally/Williams games and have done remakes so far of Attack from Mars, Monster Bash and Medieval Madness. American Pinball and Spooky are out there with a few other smaller companies too.
Pinball machines have skyrocketed in value with COVID and demand is through the roof. A place like this that lets people have the ability to play some of these games which could sell for 10’s of thousands of dollars is pretty amazing!
The main reason I go to Vegas!
Thank you for your videos!
I visited back in November and they didn't have Safecracker out. It is by far my favorite Pin. It's really a great place packed with working pinball tables.
@3:27 My husband's family had the Flip a Card pinball machine in their home. He grew up playing that pinball machine and played it for (roughly) 20+ years. Even as an adult, it was fun to play. The "counter" on the game would roll over after 9,999 points and reset to "0". During one game play he turned the score over twice, frequently resting the ball on the flipper before he directed to the spot he wanted. Don't know if there will ever be another decade like the 80s, a truly memorable time for arcade lovers.
On the bucket list!
The Twlight Zone "powerball" is a ceramic ball. It is much lighter than a normal pinball. Also it does not attract or stick to the magnets.
I've been to the old location. Maybe the most fun I had in Vegas. I'm really looking forward to seeing this location next time I'm in Vegas.
OMG this place looks so cool. I love pinball machines. I also spent many hours playing Paper Boy back in the day. That’s so cool that your dad used to repair pinball machines. You seemed to know a lot about the games. I bet you would be fun to play with
Fantastic !
This place is like my idea of heaven.
Will definitely be putting this on my itinerary, for our visit later this year.
Thanks for covering, it will be our first visit to Vegas. Your videos have been very helpful.
Thanks Brian! Heaven for pinheads!
I want to thank the owners of this museum for allowing the public to play all of these pinball machines and arcade games all the while NOT charging an arm and a leg for the experience. I can't wait to visit with my kids!
Amen jtno!
I really enjoyed this place last summer! Loads of fun! Thanks for the video
PB:HoF is a must visit for me every trip. Been visiting since they were on the Flamingo Blvd. location at the strip mall. I was so stoked when they got full funding for the Strip location! PB:HoF does just an amazing job keeping these old machines operating. I'll just warn ya'll it is usually not this quiet. Last two times I visited it was shoulder to shoulder with a full lot, so don't count on parking despite the ample parking spaces available. Very very busy.
Yes we did have an Official Baseball machine in the living room for awhile. One play for a Dime or three plays for a Quarter. Later we moved it to the Better World Galleria. Thanks to your video I now know where to have some fun whenever I ever get to Las Vegas again.
all of those gottlieb's wedgeheads. Love it. I wish you had time to look at more of the EM machines. Great video.
One of my favorite places in Vegas! Haven't been to the new location yet.
LOVE THIS PLACE !!! Go there every time I'm in Vegas. Love to re-live my Younger days.
I didn't even know this was in Vegas, and I was there last wknd. I definitely will go on the next trip. Thanks for the post! 🇲🇽 Saludos de México.
Thanks! Now you know for your next trip!
Thank you, my friend… I am completely addicted to pinball… I was in Maryland, I found the pinball museum and… it was closed forever , just in the day that I was there… so, I am still having medication:) I am from Portugal… it is not near… well… I must go to Vegas…
Pinball for everyone!!!
Probably the best place to visit in Las Vegas...
My favorite place to visit when I go to Vegas!
Thanks for this video I’ve been curious about this place and will definitely check it out next time I love Pinball!💛
I was here around 8 months ago, and its absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough. The alien machine is so strange to play, but its fun.
This is awesome, every gamer would love going here
I don’t think I’d get beyond the marquee out front. That thing is nuts.
Thanks for the tour!

Don't forget Spooky Pinball, American Pinball, Jersey Jack Pinball, and a few other smaller companies..
Was just there last night. Very nice set-up with WORKING pinball machines. It's worth the effort to visit.
As a fan of pinball I was happy to see the two player versions. That's a new one for me. Really makes sense, wish I could try it some day.
This video brings back so many High School memories. Time has flown by so quickly.
I played the baseball game at the beach millions of times. So much fun
Great video Chris. Love the interesting facts about the classic pinball machines
Thanks Claire!
I started to work for my dad owner of Fairchild Company in Los Angeles in 1969. I have worked all my life as a pinball technician from electro mechanical to electronic. Finished my work history at Knott's Berry Farm as a arcade/midway technician and am now retired in Bullhead City. So you cold actually say I have played games all my life!
Neat Tim!
Hi Chris. Thanks you for the tour.Seeing some of those machines bring back some childhood memories. I probably could spend the day trying to play all those pinball machines. The cat seems to be the unofficial mascot of the place. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Thanks James! Yes. This is an easy Spend all day kind of place
Wow! Great collection and review.
Thank you
Thanks Twinsies!
Memories of my life as a teenager. Great video. Thanks Mr. Chris.
Thanks M P!
There it is! I just saw it. My favorite!
Awesome video. Love the content. Always wanted a Kiss and a Guns N' Rose's pinball machines. Lot of history in the museum.
There a pinpalll collector in England who recently sold the guns n roses pinball machine for 12 grand
Yeah just saw one the other day for about that price online. Pricey, but what a cool machine.
@@EveliasKitchen going up in value too
Yeah the kiss one I was looking at is going for 25k. Truly amazing.
Thanks Family Eats!
Love this location it's one of the first stops when I'm Vegas ❤️
Just ran by yesterday on las vegas half marathon, as a local, i had never seen this place before
I love this!
I may never visit Vegas, but if I did, I would definitely visit this place. The Addams Family was one of my favourites. "It's showtime!"
OMG so cool. I've added it to my list to places to go to once I can go to Vegas.
I love classic Pac Man and Miss Pacman. Thanks 4 the vídeo 👍👍👍
The Shelby Car museum is a good spot as well and The famous death car of Bonnie and Clyde is at Whiskey Pete’s in Primm ,Nevada.
I love this Pinball Hall of Fame place so much!
Still hoping to make my way down to this place sometime soon...
I can definitely see myself spending a couple of hrs. in this place. Thanks Chris ! 👍
You and me both!
Great video, your knowledge of the pinball games is very impressive- thanks!
Thanks K!
I will be bringing my 3 youngest sons to Vegas March 19-24th, 2024 for spring break. I have been to Vegas 3xs & have never been to the PHOF.
It’s high on my list for my upcoming trip.
I’m excited. I can’t wait.
Thanks for the video.
Awesome! I'm sure you and the family will enjoy it!
Fantastic tour of this place. I make it there on every Vegas trip. You were extremely knowledgeable of these classic games. Well done.
Thanks sjmeola!
Welcome to the paradise 😍😍
Never knew this place existed. Thx for sharing!
OMG this video IS my childhood! Thanks for posting
And it can be your adulthood too! :)
The new location looks great! See you in Feb! I hope they have bump pinball in the new location.
Thank you for this truck I cannot wait to go how exciting pinball yay
Amazing!!!!
Was just there last month.
Had a great time.
Even bought the T shirt 😆
Finally a decent place with change machines! And Daytona!! I will spend some hours...
For your next visit Gilberto!
So cool, will definitely be on the next trip to Vegas, hopefully we can escape to the USA next year, thanks Chris!!!
That place is amazing.
It sure is Dollar Guy!
Great video. Long live " Fireball" . Loved that game.
Reminds me of when i went to visit the Pacific pinball museum in Alameda, California!! Def have to check this spot out now.
That's what I went there for my first time, back in February 20th.
I love that place ,as a local that's the only time I go to the strip to play Pinball !!
Come on mate get into the casino black jack 💰💰💰💰
@@cryptolord9826 Nah not interested at all !
@@scottrunnels3958 smart man 🤙
We had a Sinbad pinball machine by Gottlieb I believe in 1979 or so in my Dad's nightclub. I used to play that thing religiously. There was Sinbad, Future Spa and Little Pawnee which was a slot machine with the lever on the front. Instead of pulling it toward you, you would press the lever one way or the other like a see saw. The PacMan came.
i can't wait to visit new location
I wished this place was here. There are pinball places but pale in comparison on numbers and lack the classic pinballs. It is a marvel of a place.
Cool video. I played a lot of the old ones when I was a kid.
Stern might make some of the new pins out, but Jersey Jack and Spooky put out a good number each year too 👀👀👀
Went to this about 10 years ago, on holiday from Australia. Was a bit further out than we thought from MGM where me and now Wife were staying. Well worth it, spent whole day there. Apollo 13 was my Fav by far.
13 ball multiball is pretty fun!
Visited the old place back in 2006 or so, new place looks awesome!
It is!
I loved pinball games as a kid and teen…I am going to play some pinball on my next Vegas visit.
THANKS FOR THE TOUR
My pleasure Linda!
looks great I could spend hours here , great video bro I was looking for a jubilee didn't think I seen one though a lot of great tables
I'm going to VBegas in October. I'll have to check this out. I used to love to play pinball when I was a kid.
I was in Vegas Nov 21 and didn't know about this. Theatre of Magic was one of my favorites and I also saw Pinbot which I loved. Next time I'm there this is a must visit.
You'll enjoy it next time Jamie!
Man I love this type of a place, nostalgia to the past. Kids this days will probably not appreciate what their parents parents grew up playing. Could you do more exploration videos, please.
Hi Adio.. Indeed. I've been doing more of these walking tours lately. More to come!
im just loving it :)
Cool video, I'll have to check this out next time we're there. The first thing I would like to do is see and play the very oldest machines there. Even if they aren't as fun, it's just the idea of playing a pinball game from the 40s or 50s that I think is really nostalgic.
Wow, I didn't know they moved locations. I always make it a point to stop by during our trips to Vegas.
Yup! This location is awesome!
Awesome! I can’t wait to play pinball again! Twilight Zone is my favorite of all time
Twilight Zone is super fun
@@YellowProductions One night at a 7 11 in Los Angeles, I flipped Twilight Zone 7 seven times for a dollar. It was so cool
I played it pretty recently and I prefer it to Addams family. My score was almost 200 mil. Unfortunately the machine had an issue, so my replay was ruined.
I love this place and I visit every time I'm in Vegas. Some of my favorite machines in here:
6:23: The lady in the red hoodie is standing between two really cool ones. On the left is a small wood cabinet that's 100 years old and shows a "movie" in the viewer, which is actually an automatic flip book of a Dempsey vs. Carpentier boxing match. On the right are two Disney wax figure makers from a 1960s World's Fair.
9:10: The red table game on the right is an old 2-player basketball game. The ball lands in these pits that can shoot the ball towards either goal, and each has a number that corresponds to buttons in front of each player. The buttons are numbered 1-15 I believe and are laid out in sequence in front of you. Whoever hits their button first gets a shot towards the other player's goal. It's surprisingly challenging on the reflexes.
13:33: This is my absolute favorite in the whole place. That baseball game is absurdly addictive. It's always open because no one seems to know about it!
14:46: The baseball game to the left of the girl playing Ms. Pac-Man rarely works but it's super fun when it does. An air vent causes a ball to hover in mid-air and you swing at it with the little doll.
18:33: The white sit-down game also rarely works, it's a Star Trek Simulator where you shoot at other ships. The wireframe graphics are very similar to the old Star Wars arcade game and you get a simultaneous first person and top-down view of the action.
I'll check out some of our favorites next time!
Chris, Pinball has made such a comeback there are currently 4+ legitimate manufacturers of pinball machines! :) They all start at about 6k new now. . .
Thanks for that clarification Mark!
@@YellowProductions no clarification! Just great news for the hobby!!! Can't expect everyone to be living in a barcade! :)
I like that the arcade games they have seem to focus on non-standard controls which seems appropriate to complement the tactile mechanical machines.
Breathtakingly extensive selection. And a lot of labor and love to provide all that.
Do you use the "least busy" graphs on Google to pick your time to visit? You have great unimpeded footage. Shockingly unimpeded, which I don't know if it means going at 3 AM on a Tuesday, or that traffic is running uncomfortably thin? Fakedemics do that...
I admire that you ended encouraging people to support them. Especially since they're so extraordinarily nice on the admission and prices.
Thanks Bill.. I just pick times to visit Vegas when it's extraordinarily unbusy. Typically the 2nd or 3rd week of December. And I was there close to closing time
