Take your finger, apply a little pressure, go around to each tension lug, tap on the head at each lug and listen for the same tone, adjust until you get the same tone, you may have to loosen one and or tighten another.

I usually prefer the sound of higher tuned snares but the beefiness (in the intro) was very persuasive I can't lie.

I’m almost 20 but currently at a beginner level for some instruments and sometimes feel like giving up lol, but I know I can’t since it’s a gift from God.
Hey! Every gift in the Kingdom of God is needed! The Kingdom is different man the first shall be last and the last shall be first. The greatest among us is a servant… that said, don’t focus on your “level” Levels don’t matter. Focus on helping people/ serving with the amount of talent that you have now. From a natural standpoint, keep practicing, invest in yourself, lessons, courses, listen to albums and listen back to yourself and try to improve a little bit every day! We were all beginners at some point, just stay focused and keep practicing. Keep your faith high by listening to faith filled messages too!

If you had to choose between the DW kit ("best church kit") you posted a few weeks ago and this kit, which one would you go with?
I’d go with the Pearl kit. I think the Pearl is more versatile with different head choices. This birch kit also offers more “tone” than that maple kit I played a few weeks ago. I actually switched my rider from dw to Pearl whenever available! I’d also prefer Pearl’s masters maple kit over the dw collectors maple kit. I just like tone of Pearl drums. It’s what I grew up with. 💪🏽

I would only do that if I absolutely have too. We have about an hour to get generally comfortable before singers come in.
