The body probably had all the bodywork done then sandblasted/sanded to bare metal and then clear coated.

frok sanz All depends. If it is all stuff from the junkyard minus all the turbo goodies you could build that motor, including initial purchase price, for under 6k. Some people have built 650hp 327 chevs for under 4 grand all in.
