Sseth Games are it’s own genre at this point and i abolutly love it, there are few games quite like the ones he recommends and most of the time you download them and find yourself 400h into committing some kind of genocide involving poop…these games steal my life and I don’t plan on changing anything

To people who don't believe Sseth when he said the story progression was dogsh*t, trust me it's as bad as he says. Other than that, you can basically ignore the story and play at your own pace and it's still a great game if you can get into it.
The only issue is that the story is one of the best ways to get cultivation laws.
The main strength of standard cultivation is the ability to learn from other laws in books. The more laws you have, the stronger all of your cultivators are.
So, if you really want to climb the power cliff, you need to do the story.

Trying to think of the best way to summarize.
Ok so, you know the laws available to you when starting out? You can get those very early- The advanced ones that you would have had to pay points for take a little effort though.
Basically, it's like three missions in and you also have to win the tournament events (in different categories) to get your own sect laws, iirc.
But if you go all the way through, you also get access to the laws specific to other sects. I won't say that these are better than your sects own laws, but because of the way the library works, the more you have, the better.

How likely is it that 'important' characters to the storyline are going to die of old age?
@@joshuaanderson1712 Important characters will absolutely have it. not all of them, but you will encounter it multiple times. As for how easy it is to get around?
Well, that depends. Pet's stats grow based on what you feed them, and an optimized feeding schedule make things a lot easier.
Raising a pet to adulthood is a commitment in terms of time and resources- it'll take in game months and a great deal of foodstuff (which may include uncommon plants or ores).
Mind you, while raising the pet to adulthood (necessary) takes significant time, regaining lost stats from acting playful takes a lot less. If your pet is fed the appropriate diet, and trained to practice their skills diligently, it'll only be a matter of days to restore it. Even if your pet isn't being treated optimally, it'll only take a couple weeks at most.
I'd recommend doing research before settling on a pet though. Each pet is different, with different strengths, weaknesses, and skills, and the commitment to getting them to adulthood is significant.

I’ve been playing Dwarf Fortress for years, even I think this game looks insanely complicated! Great video!
It takes a while to wrap your head around some of the concepts, but I think DF is probably more complex,
There are no weird physics here. It's all element cycles, moods, and seeing numbers go up.
I'd say the thing that messed me up the most starting out was figuring out the different cultivation styles. There is a *Huge* difference in what Xiandao, Shendao, and physical require. Both for recruitment and for progression.
Just FYI, I've probably played the game for about 150-ish hours. Meanwhile dwarf fortress frustrates the crap outta me- although I think a lot of that is the UI.
Everyone at the studio needs to learn the beauty of God Hand from Sseth!

For terrible items you can imbue with magic? How about literal shit. Ramen noodles? Random bits of literal garbage, a "rod" that fell off of someone who learned the wrong skill.
For best results, you'll probably want to use actual weapons though. Mainly, it's a question of tier- and weapons can be made consistently at tier 12 with only a little effort- assuming you have an expert craftsman (Which you should). Otherwise you'll need to use a skill called Specter Refinement which is fueled on soul gems.... Meaning you'll have to farm people. And for the record, although your sect wont suffer from farming people like seth did, the cultivator you have gathering the gems with suffer the ire of Heaven. (Cultivators themselves have a morality meter, which effects how tribulations go for them.)
I bought this game a few days ago, the voice acting in the tutorial is painfull, please disable it first hahaha

24:32 this is real by the way, "Big Chungus" gets among the best default stats for an illuminated object, it's tied with one or two other names, such as "Master Chief" and whatever, there is a google document with each name and their stats, good luck finding it! I don't think CZcams respects links in my comments...
By the way, the story experience is such dogshit and only technically non-essential, you almost NEED it to get respect from the other factions, and dunk/trade on their lands. If possible, get mods to streamline the process, you will thank me for the lack of aneurysm and index finger disfigurement.
